I don't exactly feel pity for the man after he's screwed over my football team for 10 seasons, but I've been on "death marches" at work before, and they freaking suck. Everyone knew the project was screwed, yet everyone had to keep working 70 hour weeks to try and save it. Garrett has to keep trying to save a team that's quit on him, even though he knows it's inevitably going to end in either an ignominious Eagles loss or a Wild Card blowout where he gets fired the next day.

On one hand, you gotta admire Jerry’s stubbornness.

It’s truly amazing to watch. He’s like the guy high on meth hitting himself with a frying pan multiple times in the head until it finally knocks him out.

you’re going to be on a death march forever because you don’t realize where the problem really lies. It ain’t going to be any different with the next coach either.
