This was phony by Jerry and pre-planned. He wanted to do something to take the attention and criticism away from the team/Garrett so of course, as the owner/GM/mascot, he came out and did this on the Cowboys' flagship radio station.

All fake. Jerry only cares about his cash.

He's about to be 78. That is hardly satisfying anymore.

Except for a couple of times when he got testy, he sounded like he always does to me.

He didn't say anything anyway. He never does.

More to it than that.

Firing Garrett is full admission of personal failure by Jerry. He's admitting he was wrong. That he really doesn't know football, just like Jimmy said he didn't. McClay already gets the personnel credit.

Jerry is PISSED at the players for quitting on his golden boy head coach. He doesn't want to fire him.

Life will change for Jerry dramatically at 78 years old. There's not enough Johnny Walker Blue to ease that pain.

He's freaking out.
Absolutely 100%

Jerrah has to admit he wasted a decade wrongly assuming Garrett was the next Tom Landry.
He was completely wrong about Garrett making a fine HC, that's why he is still mumbling about Garrett coaching elsewhere.
This has zero to do with an emotional connection to Garrett or familial love. It's just the overinflated ego of an empty aging sot.

Jerry is a subhuman POS that lucked into buying the Cowboys.
That’s a bit over the top Blake.
Pretty much everyone that knows him well personally say he’s a kind and generous person.

regardless of his other issues

He sounded drunk as hell, was probably going through a couple of bottles of JWB on flight home.

This is just sad to watch, he literally is having a nervous breakdown.

Damn, Jerry is furious! He started the interview by insulting the radio host: "Get your damn act together and start asking your questions. I've been up and about all night. I'm not in the mood for this" -Something almost exactly along those lines.

I will find the link as soon as the interview is over.

Jane Slater was also interviewed and said they are now in serious talks with Urban Meyer and Lincoln Riley.
Please give me Lincoln riley. If they want to put Meyer in anither front office spot go nuts

Been listening since the beginning, that was hilarious. “I’m not in the mood to jack around with you this morning” and I believe he just hung up after they asked him a question about Garrett :lmao2:

Edit: Now they’re saying the call was automatically dropped because of too much swearing after they asked Jerry about Garrett.

Jerry is back on...
BAWAHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

:lmao:LMAO:lmao:

I hadn't heard the interview and thought that went out over the air, it didn't. Their delay picked it up and actually dropped the call after a second cuss word.

Correct. It starts off pretty great. I encourage everyone to listen to it. Only people who heard the words being cursed were in the studio is my understanding.

I guess this was the BS line...

First Cowboys owner said "there’s a whole bunch of times when I have to bull**** the hell out of you." Then he asked "Do you understand bull****?" The system bleeped each, which cut the line.

This is the car wreck the Jones family asked for without actually asking for it. Actions have led us here. They wanted the circus, and here it is.

These sorts of wheels-off exchanges are about all he has left to sell, at least this season. Not that our favorite narcissist is actually incensed. Because guess who the football world has front and center today.

It’s been 10 years and Jerry doesn’t have another 10 years. He’s gone. I think Jerry cares more about his legacy than money. When you have that much money you move on to the next thing.

He has a .557 coaching record. We are entering the realm of Marvin Lewis here. Sucks there isn’t a decent interim coach.
