Looks like it’s

LSU vs Oklahoma
Ohio State vs Clemson

Which is best case ratings wise. Going to be a fun few weeks in my household. I’m a die hard Clemson fan and my wife’s entire family are born and raised in Ohio and all Ohio state alumni’s lol
I too have family members that graduated from both Clemson and Ohio St.
My god-daughter graduated from LSU
Several of my kids classmates’ parents are OU grads
Die hard fans, all

LSU will take over Atlanta
Then they get a borderline home game in New Orleans for the national title

Clemson is so good. LSU-Clemson is going to be a battle of this years #1 overall pick and next years.

They also have the top 2 recruiting classes for 2020 so far, according to Rivals

Bama is 3rd, Ohio St 4th

Rich getting richer

Its the same 4-5 schools getting most of the blue chippers every year. I don't know why these guys don't spread out more.

I think OSU is going to get blown out.
Would be fine with me, though many of my cousins up north would be bummed.
I want Clemson to repeat, but am not actively rooting against any of the other teams

I feel REAL certain OSU wont get blown out and may even win.
I think they matchup real well
We can check back in with each other on that one.

This thread isn't aging well. Utah looks horrible.
They crapped the bed to be sure. Pressure busts pipes and they fell apart.
The committee had them ranked 5th and over OU for a reason.

But OU won in OT versus a 3rd string QB....
In their final 6 games they

Lost by 7.
won by
1
3
4
18
7 but in OT......

I'll gladly take the larger Big 12 pay out but I'm not exactly excited about seeing OU face CFB competition.

A Georgia win is the only thing standing in OU's way now.

I'm sure the SEC would love a narrow UGa win over a not-as-urgent LSU.
Odd situation for the Tigers, as they probably make it, win or lose.

Here's a question:
What if Ohio State loses a very close one to Wisconsin?
The committee could easily argue that a 12-1 Ohio St is still much better than a 12-1 Oklahoma.
Can't see the Badgers winning, but its food for thought.
Wouldn't have changed anything except order.

1 loss schools would remain above 2 loss schools.

I'm rooting for the Dawgs. I don't think OU belongs.
Georgia wasnt good all year either really.

LSU/OSU were far better than anyone else and undefeated Clemson was always going.
4th team was going to be a stretch regardless.

It is a shame Baylor or Utah didn't crack the usual suspects list.

Surprised Texas AM has the 5th rated class. But I guess Jimbo always has been a strong recruiter. That rabid fan base would be insane if he ever got them to a playoff, but such a seemingly impossible task with Bama, LSU, and Auburn all in your same division.

Mack Brown recruiting well at UNC too. But that class is still only 14th

Yeah, I scratched my head when Jimbo took the A&M job. He was set up way better in the ACC at FSU.

He wanted to hit the restart button after an ugly divorce

But yeah, AM is one of or even the wealthiest athletic program in the nation but man, what a huge uphill battle to win big in that division, let alone that league. Plus, they've never won it all there before

I think after FSU may've found the right guy to bring them back in Mike Norvell. He's impressive. Guess we’ll see in 2-3 years

We'll see. That last Memphis coaching whiz isn't doing that great at Va Tech. At FSU, its all about recruiting connections in Florida which is why Taggert was a bad hire. At least Norvell is regional enough to maybe impact Florida.

I hear you.

Ive been following coaches my whole life (as you probably have)
My dad was a HS coach and did summer camps with many of the college greats way back when.

Ive been wrong. But some just have something extra in addition to the football mind.
Lasting Program builders
I met Lincoln Riley when he was an OC at East Carolina. Even though they would've lost him, I thought they should do everything in their power to make him a HC.
Dabo, the way he built things from the ground up culture wise...hes made Clemson a destination spot for
Recruits. Great staff and culture.

I have zero affiliation with Memphis, but I think Norvell could be a very good or even great one.
Will need a great staff and will need 2-3 years of rebuild, but Im real curious if he can give Clemson some ACC competition in a few years.

Did anyone watch the Army-Navy game today?
That Navy QB rushed for over 200 yards.
