Does it really matter? Win the division then lose in the first round of the playoffs.......again.

The only thing that will give me any hope is if we go 10-6 and head into the playoffs winning 4 in a row. Anything other than that and it’s one and done and i’d Rather take the higher draft pick for the new head Coach.

The Cowboys don't beat the Eagles in common opponents. The Eagles beat the Jets, Bills, and Chicago. We lose that tie breaker. Philly 3-1 and Dallas 2-2.

I think the NFCE teams are also common opponents but maybe the Eagles don’t play NFCE teams.

The Cowboys essentially have a two game lead on the Eagles by virtue of the tie breaker. If the Cowboys beat the Eagles, gaining one game and maintaining the tie breaker it would be an almost insurmountable lead for the Eagles to overcome.

After watching the Rams blast Seattle on the road last night, you really think this team has a chance? I see losses next week to the rams and I don't see this inept bunch going into Philly and winning that game either.

Conversely, eagles win the division if you lose out, no matter what philly does

If they Eagles win tonight they are in control of their destiny as much as we are. Season comes down to the game in Philly week 16

This post makes no sense.

First of all we don’t have a two game lead unless the Eagles lose tonight.

Second, all we did was hold serve by beating the Eagles at home. They have the opportunity to take the tiebreaker away by beating us in two weeks.

I think the Eagles will win tonight because the Giants are terrible, especially with Manning. Then they have the Skins next week while we play the Rams.

There is a good chance that the Eagles are one game up on us when we go to Philly. Beating us would clinch them the East in that scenario.

Yep, I too think we head into that Philly game at 6-8 and the Eagles will be 7-7.

Philly doesn't necessarily have the opportunity to take away the tie breaker when we play them in 2 weeks. It all depends on what happens between now and then. If they lose another division game they will not have the tie breaker.

If you're going to the common opponents tie breaker, then you've already past the division tie breaker in a tie.

All these scenarios are moot if the Eagles don't win. The assumption is "if they win out".

Agreed.

But right now the Eagles and Cowboys both control their own destiny.
True. The one thing I think favors the Eagles is that they have a better schedule simply because they don't have to play the Rams. Of course, what favors the Cowboys is that the Eagles pretty much have to win out, whereas the Cowboys could lose to the Rams and still take the division by winning the other 2 games.

Can shake the feeling that the Commanders are gonna screw somebody.

The Cowboys have owned NFCE teams since Dak took over. 2017 and 2018 they went 5-1. This year they’re 4-0. They’ll probably squeak into the playoffs but another beat down in the wild card round wouldn’t be a surprise.
