Possible?... fact in my opinion lol.

We watched in 2014 Romo changing the plays constantly. We watched what they called in the Romo football life, that he changed. I am not a huge "player Dak" fan, but any QB going into Dallas without the experience of a Romo or Brady is setup to fail. Unless you are changing the plays, you aren't going to be winning in Dallas right now.

lol...thats the job all qbs do. From Brady on down..lol Matter of fact Payton talked about Brees doing the exact same thing.

I seem to remember this team quitting on Wade. So while it may be true....the players getting killed by Vince Young and David Garrard was probably his doing.

Well, truthfully Wade wasn't a real HC anyway. Dude is not about speaking up and taking center stage in a meeting of coaches. I could definitely see him sitting there off to the side just letting it all happen in front of him lol. He wasn't gong to make it as a HC no matter if Garrett sabotages him or not.

I know this topic was discussed before.
But On “hangin with the boys” Jesse Holley mentioned it again.

he said he believes Wade was sabotaged by Garrett and that Jesse knows they received a new offensive playbook after Wade was fired and beforehand they were running more vanilla
Plays and schemes.

I just thought it was an interesting nugget from the podcast yesterday.

My evaluation of 2010 has always been that the offense was the main problem for most of the season before Wade was booted.

That Garrett gave him the shiv is not a surprise. Looking at his career with the Cowboys, you see a trail of good coaches who got the boot. Wade. Callahan. Eberflus. And poor coaches that were *his guys*. Kiffin. Marinelli. Linehan.

It's too bad Wade was never more than Dead HC Walking. Great DC. Deserved a real chance at HC. He didn't seem to have what it takes with us, but his authority was undercut *before* he was ever hired with Garrett as HC in Waiting and Jerry being Jerry.

The reality is Jason Garrett’s was the Jones planned Chosen One from the beginning and Wade was hamstrung completely.

The irony is after 2012-2014 season, with the new Romo contract, Jones had to tighten the least around the buffoon and effectively start stripping him if power, until 2014 came and he said he didn’t want Garrett anywhere near the offense. In this light, he said multiple things that Linehan would Target Dez like a true number 1 and run the ball, despite the lip service of the previous ‘coaches’.

So now Jones is about keeping Garrett as HC yo protect his decisions, but surround him with quality coordinators. But even that is failing now and fans are done with Garrett, so Jones gets triggered in interviews now when he’s confronted with Jason Garrett’s incompetence by the majority.

This team needs to pull a varsity blues move and refuse to leave the locker room at halftime if Garrett doesnt leave.

I didn’t say he sabotaged it. I said he was incompetent and the only reason Dallas won games after Wade was fired is because the DEFENSE generated 20 TOs the remainder of the season and they played bum teams out of the play-off race. All Garrett did was went conservative and ran the ball more.

Garrett’s offense was still incompetent and couldn’t even beat the 5-10 Cardinals at the time, when the defense couldn’t generate a single TO but Garrett’s offense committed three that game.

Garrett has always been mediocre and incompetent.

No argument here. I think I said the same.

Wade's *position* wasn't as a real HC. Wade was undercut by Jerry anointing Garrett as HC in waiting. Who thought that Wade had authority over the offense? No one. He was co-coordinator and HC figurehead.

Wade can run a defense. Seems to have enough leadership and speak up for that.

New coach, new playbook. Not seeing a conspiracy there. Perhaps Wade desired a different style of play from the offense. He was the HC after all.

Same offensive coordinator. Why would the offensive playbook change? Anyone think Wade had *any* authority over the offense to control the offensive playbook? Not me.

Interesting! I was listening to Marcus Spears talk about What's wrong in Dallas and he said Jerry's open door policy and friendship with the players undermines the head coach. He said when wade Philip's was the coach everyone knew Garrett was getting paid more than Wade and it just didnt feel right. He said Jerry isnt intentionally trying to do this but it's like he doesnt realize he is causing the issues. I believe Garrett did sabotage Wade though and Wade will forever get his revenge.

Poor Wade was as much of a pushover, pehaps more so than JG, with both the players and Jerry as well.

Discipline wasn't in his tool bag. His players really quit on him badly. His dad didn't exact discipline, either.

I never said he was great, I said he was above average. I also said you don't need a great coach to win. you do a lot of assuming.
Above average based om what? His record as coach is basically.500

Jesse Holley is a clown.

The one play he made in his career, he almost completely screwed it up. This could have easily ended up in a fumble out of the back of the end zone. That was the Romo punctured lung game.

Nope! It happened.
