I say we rest players this week instead. The Skins will play us tougher than Philly.

No. We go into Philadelphia with the mindset to dismantle them and we do the same thing against the Commanders. Our hopes should be to create an avalanche of momentum. Hitting on all cylinders gives us our best chance to advance in the playoffs.

Eagles and Commanders may not be feared but they are division opponents and division games can be tough as we all know. Let's use them both as a springboard into what we hope will be a successful run in the playoffs.

We give no quarter!

The last two times we rested starters, 2016 and 2007, we came out flat in the divisional round. Granted there’s no bye this week, but I don’t think we should disrupt their rhythm.

And I bet $2K on over 8.5 wins at the beginning of the season, so personally I really hope they play to win.

Simple question, if we beat the Eagles do we rest everyone in the final game, or do we play them the whole game, or do we play them part of the game (like the first half). I am sort of inclined towards the latter. I think they need to play otherwise they will come out lazy against (most likely) the Seahawks, but I think they do need some rest especially the o-line (and I don't like the idea of putting Dak behind a backup line). What do you guys think>

Zeke will be rested along with some off-lineman but Dak will play 100% guaranteed as he's afraid of being showed up by Rush....as he did at Philly in the 6-0 Win against Phillys 3rd stringers.....

I can’t think of one time in the past two decades where the Cowboys mailed in the season finale to rest players and ended up advancing in the playoffs. They mailed in the season finale in 07 against Washington and ended up going one and done in the playoffs. In 09 they had no choice but to play all out in week 17 because the division title was on the line. Finishing that season on a high note led to the teams first playoff win in 13 years. In 2014 the Cowboys played all out in week 17 despite having the division title wrapped up. Finishing that season on a high note led to a playoff win. Garrett decided to have the team mail in the season finale in 2016 against Philly to rest players, resulting in the worst performance of the season. I was furious after that game!

The Cowboys limped into the playoffs and went one and done at home which I predicted. Last season the team played all out against the Giants in week 17 despite having the division title wrapped up. That led to a playoff win over Seattle. If you look at the history of the Cowboys, ending the regular season with a solid performance has led to some playoff success. If we beat Philly on Sunday we need to keep the momentum going into the playoffs. Limping into the playoffs has led to a number of one and done’s for this franchise. You need to stay hot entering the playoffs. You can’t just flip a switch.

Imagine losing 2 thousands dollars because an 8 win team is content on resting starters the final week of the season :banghead::banghead::banghead:

That would be something I wouldn't get over for a very very long time

Either way we should...if we are officially eliminated from playoffs it could boost our draft pick
If we are officially in the playoffs...could still boost our pick since we will be one and done again.
But JG will coach his hardest that last week to win a meaningless game for his own sake at the expense of the team like usual.
If we lose to philly you can your entire bank to Vegas and get we will beat Wash since it would put us at 8-8, JGs hallmark.

This team can’t afford to turn off the engine, it might not start back up. Play to win, rest those only in dire need like Amari.

If we have nothing to gain, you rest the injured as you would in any battle. There are some fans here who clamor some players need more snaps, well this is the time.

I'd sign an FA RB and give Zeke 1-2 series (max 5 carries) and Pollard the first half if the OL is playing.

We really don't how how these guys are feeling tho. If Tyron needs a week off.....do it, same with Cooper, Lee, DLaw, and even Heath (LOL)

Look what Lee did with no practice. That said, you can't rest everyone, just a select few.

I don't think this team is resilient enough to come back from an off week and do anything, honestly. I feel like they likely will rest some of the players, but I don't think they should.

That's a hell of a line by Vegas. Could you get any closer to 8 1/2 games then having 8 wins and resting starters in a game you are favored in?

Huh?
Lol.
That's an odd strategy.
Let's give away the NFC East this week and hope to have it handed back
the following week!?!
I think you may have bumped your head, friend.

Then again, with all those injuries in Philthy, maybe you're saying our backups
can clinch the East. That just might work... damn, I might've bumped my head too... j/k

Hell, it just felt good to finally win a game.
From the coin flip to the opening kickoff going out of bounds.
Whew, brother, I was 'bout to lose it for good... lol
