He’s telling you how it really is. People should accept it. It’s what it is.

lie back and enjoy it, right?

To each, there own but I'd advocate for the opposite and suggest Cowboy fans should never "accept it" and give him hell until he's 6 feet under and be sure to call him a "meddler" for an extra dose of aggravation

And we still wouldn't win any SB because of Jerry's interference and puppet coaches. If he really wanted to win he would see that 24 years of him being in charge hasn't worked.

Bill Parcells had no problem working with Jerry. Parcells was not a puppet coach. Parcells never complained about Jerry interfering. If I remember correctly, I think there was a story of Parcells wanting Spears drafted first and then try to get Demarcus Ware later in the first round. Jerry went with Ware first. Parcells was wrong and Jerry was right. Yes, we all know Parcells did not win a SB here. But, it was not because of Jerry interfering.

The team should have a much better record this year. The talent is there. Jerry as a GM provided the coaches with enough talent to win. The coaches and the players have failed to date this year. Yes, Jerry can be faulted for going with Garrett for much too long.

Take a look at a lot of teams with 'bona fide' GMs that are failing miserably.

I had no problem with most of Jerry's decision as a GM this year. Garrett is his biggest failure as a decision right now. Next is not getting Earl Thomas. Coulda, shoulda. I am sure Jerry would love to go back to April and sign Earl Thomas.

Ya gotta give Jerry credit for not making any type of personal attacks on Troy. Most people would, after being criticized that way. Not that Troy was wrong, or even that he was wrong to say it. Just saying ya gotta give Jerry some props for not turning this into a distraction.

Jerry took the high road. Of course, attacking Troy back might turn enough of the fanbase against him that he'd be uncomfortable, but I think Jerry understands the passion and frustration of his ex-players.

Aikman has seemed kinda outspoken about a lot of things lately. Maybe he's going through something and Jerry knows about it so shrugs off the criticism.

And usually, that is all about a lack of communication. Whether it be GM to owner, GM to coach, etc.

Jerry Jones seems to think that his lack of a middle man makes things easier. Well it does. For him.

On most teams not run by an imbecile, a GM is a check and balance from the non-football guy to the football guys. And he has that job and he usually is held accountable if he fails.

In all of his years in the NFL, Jerry Jones is not, never has and never will be, a true evaluator of the game of football, the talent or what it takes to win in this league. Especially how it functions now. Nor will he ever face consequences for failure.

He can pretend he had it all figured out back in the early 1990s, but anyone with a half a brain realizes that is a lie.

When jerry hired Parcells he do so to get his stadium bill passed, he said so on video. Getting the players is one thing but setting the culture is another and Jerry wont let the head coach be the one that does that.

How does that phrase go?

"There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and Jerry."

Cowboys' Jerry Jones responds to Troy Aikman's criticism, believes he would want heavy hand in decision-making

Troy-Aikman-Jerry-Jones-Reuters.jpg

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones responded to Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman's criticism of his leadership in a radio interview on Tuesday.

One day, Jerry Jones will channel his inner Charleton Heston into a waiting microphone and say, ""I'll give you my GM title when you pry it from my cold dead hands."

I'm  but completely serious at the same time.

Jerry pretty much vocalized what most of us have known for a long time - It's mine. I bought it, and I'm gonna do like I want to. Now, I don't have a problem with any of that because it's true. He is the Owner and he can (and obviously will) do as he pleases.

We really don't have anything to say about it - nor, should we.

We don't have to support his empire though and that's our only recourse.

Screw Jones!! We get it. You bought the team and it's your money so you can run it to the ground if you like. Great job. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED for 24 years now!

The only thing we can hope is that Stephen has learned from his dads mistakes and realizes he needs a real strong GM.

Kraft ve
He's a straight liar, deluding himself, or truly believes that his involvement is what they all do.

I have two owners that don't get involved every day and look at them:
Kraft and the Holt family (Spurs).
Kraft vetoed his HOF coach and uses his free time schmoozing with the NFL commish and company. He's very involved. He covers the problems when patriots get caught cheating.

Jerry's way has produced a lot of income. But other than the Jimmy era, not a lot of wins. Seems he's gleaned nothing from that.

Bank account is full everything else is secondary in Jerry's mind. That's why the popularity and marketing concept of the team takes priority over winning championships.

who’s a liar? Jerry? Well Kraft does get involved (AB), so does Mara, the Falcons Owner, Bidwells, Jacksonville owner, bengals, Browns, Commanders, Miami, Tenn., Houston, Saints, Panthers, Bucs, hell I am about to name every nfl team owner. They all get involved and they all let their GMs do their jobs, so does the Cowboys it’s just the GM and the owner is the same person

When rich people "want something" they have no concept of not getting or why they wouldn't. The rest of us understand that just because we "want something" doesn't mean that's the best or most logical thing to attain our longterm goals. Jerry is the single greatest reason for ALL of the Cowboys issues.
You act like Jerry has always been filthy rich and doesn't remember a time when he couldn't have things he wanted. How bush league of you to talk about "rich people" with blanket statements as if we all think alike.

All true Runny Jerry just laughs all the way to the bank . He bought the one team people love to watch lose as much as they do win . There are no consequences in his world that would make him have to change anything he dose. He has so much and makes so much win or lose nothing affects him .
All he really cares about is if it ever happens he has had FULL CONTROL and he echos this in EVERY INTERVIEW !! It was funny to hear some of the HOPEFUL start saying Jerry was giving Stephen or Will McClay control and he was STEPPING BACK .
Jerry knows nothing good would come out of a war of words with Troy Aikman especially before this important game . As great a player as Troy was they are in different worlds as far as all out success and Jerry is comfortable with that

My question....what qualifies Troy to be an NFL GM? I agree with what he's saying about Jerry somewhat but there are quite a few GMs out I'd want running my team besides Troy. Hell, I'd take Garrett before Troy........

However, don't think for a second Troy's comments didn't leave a mark. He's probably one of the few former Cowboy players who have Jerry's ears. Otherwise, he would have ignored him........
