What are you applauding?
I sure hope it's not Jerry's straw man against Aikman, or his steadfast desire to win "his way" no matter how many years he fails.
He’s telling you how it really is. People should accept it. It’s what it is.
And we still wouldn't win any SB because of Jerry's interference and puppet coaches. If he really wanted to win he would see that 24 years of him being in charge hasn't worked.
Ya gotta give Jerry credit for not making any type of personal attacks on Troy. Most people would, after being criticized that way. Not that Troy was wrong, or even that he was wrong to say it. Just saying ya gotta give Jerry some props for not turning this into a distraction.
And usually, that is all about a lack of communication. Whether it be GM to owner, GM to coach, etc.Take a look at a lot of teams with 'bona fide' GMs that are failing miserably.
When jerry hired Parcells he do so to get his stadium bill passed, he said so on video. Getting the players is one thing but setting the culture is another and Jerry wont let the head coach be the one that does that.Bill Parcells had no problem working with Jerry. Parcells was not a puppet coach. Parcells never complained about Jerry interfering. If I remember correctly, I think there was a story of Parcells wanting Spears drafted first and then try to get Demarcus Ware later in the first round. Jerry went with Ware first. Parcells was wrong and Jerry was right. Yes, we all know Parcells did not win a SB here. But, it was not because of Jerry interfering.
The team should have a much better record this year. The talent is there. Jerry as a GM provided the coaches with enough talent to win. The coaches and the players have failed to date this year. Yes, Jerry can be faulted for going with Garrett for much too long.

I had no problem with most of Jerry's decision as a GM this year. Garrett is his biggest failure as a decision right now. Next is not getting Earl Thomas. Coulda, shoulda. I am sure Jerry would love to go back to April and sign Earl Thomas.
He can pretend he had it all figured out back in the early 1990s, but anyone with a half a brain realizes that is a lie.
One day, Jerry Jones will channel his inner Charleton Heston into a waiting microphone and say, ""I'll give you my GM title when you pry it from my cold dead hands."Cowboys' Jerry Jones responds to Troy Aikman's criticism, believes he would want heavy hand in decision-making
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones responded to Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman's criticism of his leadership in a radio interview on Tuesday.

Kraft vetoed his HOF coach and uses his free time schmoozing with the NFL commish and company. He's very involved. He covers the problems when patriots get caught cheating. He's a straight liar, deluding himself, or truly believes that his involvement is what they all do.
I have two owners that don't get involved every day and look at them:
Kraft and the Holt family (Spurs).
Jerry's way has produced a lot of income. But other than the Jimmy era, not a lot of wins. Seems he's gleaned nothing from that.

You act like Jerry has always been filthy rich and doesn't remember a time when he couldn't have things he wanted. How bush league of you to talk about "rich people" with blanket statements as if we all think alike. When rich people "want something" they have no concept of not getting or why they wouldn't. The rest of us understand that just because we "want something" doesn't mean that's the best or most logical thing to attain our longterm goals. Jerry is the single greatest reason for ALL of the Cowboys issues.

They all have fired an underperforming gm before, has Jerry?who’s a liar? Jerry? Well Kraft does get involved (AB), so does Mara, the Falcons Owner, Bidwells, Jacksonville owner, bengals, Browns, Commanders, Miami, Tenn., Houston, Saints, Panthers, Bucs, hell I am about to name every nfl team owner. They all get involved and they all let their GMs do their jobs, so does the Cowboys it’s just the GM and the owner is the same person
