How bad do you want Garrett gone

Just curious to other fans' thoughts on a ridiculous hypothetical.

Would you want us to shock everybody, & get to the Super Bowl this year, assuming two things:

1. Losing in the SB

2. Garrett would be resigned for at least another 5yrs.

Honestly, I think the bar is lower. I think if somehow, some way, this team makes it TO the NFC Championship, Garrett will be resigned. Even with a humiliating loss. I believe JJ & Co. have pretty much telegraphed, that is the bar.

So, what would be your preference..? Make it farther than we have in the last couple decades, knowing Garrett ain't going anywhere, or having our usual late season disappointment, & going another direction as far as coaching goes, going forward..?

I'd rather Jerry be gone. He's the disease, Garrett is a symptom.

Realistically, I don't think we will end up in the Superbowl. Garrett just doesn't have it in him to coach up the team to get them ready for a deep playoff run.

I really think its time to call it quits with Garrett. Give him the boot. This team is too talented. The reason why we are mediocre is because of Garrett. So I doubt we even go that far in the playoffs to begin with.

Interesting question and interesting to read everyone’s opinions.

If the team gets to a Super Bowl, it would mean that they beat the Eagles this Sunday, upset the 49ers in the Wildcard round (they’ll surely be underdogs), go to Seattle and beat the Seahawks at home THEN fly up to
Lambeau Field and beat the Packers in the frozen tundra.

You don’t do that unless you coach your way there. So I guess if that happens, it’d also mean that something clicked with Garrett.

He’s not making those gutless decisions to punt on 4th and 1 and not kicking field goals with less than 6 minutes in the game down by 7. It’s not impossible to fathom - we’ve already seen him go for it on his own 20 and the clapping has already ceased.

Getting to the Super Bowl as a 4 seed against a strong NFC would definitely be enough for me to pull the trigger on a new contract for the clapper.

My current girlfriend is a Cowboys cheerleader.

A rich guy's chubby daughter has a crush on me.

He offers me 1 million per year to be with her.

There is a 100 million bonus at the end of 5 years.

Should I take the deal?

A fresh start with a new coach has been long overdue. Get rid of the clapper regardless of this years outcome. I will be the first to give him a swift kick right out the door.

Garrett needs to go. But getting rid of him and just hiring another coach without some structural and cultural changes at the top will just be a new coat of paint on the Titanic. Fans need to push for REAL change, not just a new puppet for Jerry to play with.
It doesn’t surprise me how many people don’t understand this. It should but it doesn’t
