How will Jerry take the temperature?
  • Under the armpit (axillary method)
  • In the mouth (oral method)
  • In the ear (tympanic method)
  • In the rectum/bum (rectal method)

I'm sure he will depending on who he hires. That's how the process works. You interview guys....then the coach tells the owner or GM whatever they want to hear and tell them how he can take his underachieving bunch and make them winners. No coach is going to go in there and rag on the players without even coaching them lol.
The Cowboys need that guy, the guy to go in a set Jones straight. 25 years of roster mismanagement and locker room meddling has this franchise in a tailspin. The culture of this organization is a train wreck and the last place I want to get my inputs for a new coach is from a spoiled bunch of entitled players.

Losing isn't so bad when you are a young millionaire in a city that loves to throw adoration at its players. That mindset has to end.

This is exactly what's wrong with this organization.

In what business does the CEO consult the blue collar workers before he hires their boss?

This is a business of results, not feelings.

If Jethro as the "GM" doesn't know what went wrong...then dayum.....

This is why Jones will never ever be considered a real "football guy".
It’s not one or the other lol. Obviously he knows about the issues he literally is in the building daily, but no matter how much of a football guy you are you can’t strap on a helmet and be an undercover player.

Getting the opinion of the people who were coached by Garrett is a smart thing to do. Why not collect as much info as possible before selecting the next guy?

I think Garrett is gone simply because his contract runs out. I seriously question whether Jones would move on if he was under contract for another year.

Jerry Jones is an idiot. The players feelings should not be a concern with the hiring of a new HC.
How would the media know what Jerry plans to do?

If Jerry is releasing info, he normally says it to multiple media or directly on the radio.

If Garrett is re-signed because the players like him, I'm done. I'll always love the team but I'll stop watching like I do now or care.

This takes me back to those Deion stories, when he didn't necessarily jibe with something Switzer or Gailey would lay on him. His would openly mention "going down the hall to the boss' office."

I'm a fool for thinking any of this has changed.

Oh I agree. But who is that guy? Even Sean Payton is a buddy of his.

It never will change with Jerry here. Maybe with Stephen I don't know because from what I've seen Stephen seems to be just like Jerry.

Again, if Jones needs to ask some players what went wrong then he has no business being a GM..... but we all knew that already.

BTW I'd bet most people on this forum know exactly "what went wrong"

So you wouldn’t want more info? More information is bad?

Hmm makes sense

for a man who rooster crows incessantly that me makes every decision, this seems weak. he still seems conflicted.
