What a joke. What owner in the league asks his players for permission on the HC? Their egos are over inflated as is.

The headline is much distorted from the actual reported story. Meeting with players to get their options on what went wrong is not the same as getting the temperature (which is implied their opinion) of a new head coach. As I stated in here before I am in upper management with a firm and I have used the opinions of my guy keys as a part of a process to replace/staff positions. I feel it’s nothing wrong with this approach as I have had success with it.

The headline is implying that he wants to get their feelings on a new coach and that’s just not true from the actual story.

He’s going to talk to Dak and hopefully Dak doesn’t want he or Moore back. But who knows. I’m scared folks.

Yeah I don't either. I Think you should. Especially with how this team is ran. You might do that with a rebuild but this team doesn't plan on rebuilding.

You might want to watch the video. The video doesn't say anything about wanting the players opinion on their head coach.
Uh wanting to players input going forward, means that he wants their opinion on the next coach.

So you wouldn’t want more info? More information is bad?

Hmm makes sense
No, wrong or tainted information is bad.

I dont think I can trust these guys to know that they need a Jimmy/Bill type to counter-balance Jones country club ways.

And not for nothing but Jones has been owner and "GM" for what 30 years - I would hope he knows more than the players what went wrong and what they need..........but he doesn't - and thats why we haven't won a thing in 25 years.

The employees do make things go and bad leadership can destroy productivity.

Uhh what the video said is Jerry is asking players what went wrong this season. If you want to say that means he wants input on the next head coach than so be it. I don't think its the worst thing. Now if they were asking their opinion on Garrett that would be a problem.

Which players? 31 of the 53 players on the roster will be free agents on Monday. Think about that for a minute.

Is there any doubt Jason Garrett is going to be signed to an extension? Seriously, Jerry is comfortable and he isn't going to fire Garrett. No matter what. In fact we could go 8-8 for the next 10 years and he would keep this guy.

Why? Because the $$ just keeps rolling in. Stadium keeps filling up, merchandise keeps selling. It's a business for the guy. Yeah, he wants another ring, but that is secondary, maybe tertiary to the man.

He does own the most valuable franchise in the world. Games are sold out, his monstrosity of a stadium is a major venue for sporting events. Yea, I'd say winning football games is the last thing Jerry Jones cares about. He wants the franchise to have a happy atmosphere akin to his party bus but a winning franchise isn't run this way.

This is important.

That is a lot of thinking to be done by Stephen Jones and Co.

I can see them completely botching it. They are notoriously horrible at self scouting.

Most idiotic thing I have ever heard... Unless it is another media twisting thing.

Players opinions of new coach, mean nothing! Just like their on field play this year.
