Just give me one decision this team has made in the last 5 years, that was brilliant?

can you trust this clown show with the upcoming decisions

1. what to do with the Clapping Carrot
2. the Dak contract
3. the Cooper contract
4. the Byron Jones contract
Well, Define brilliant. I can think of good solid franchise decisions.

Grabbing Amari, since he is heads and tails better than any receiver available in 1st round of the draft.
Drafting LVE who everbody thought was a reach. Had a great rookie year.
Drafting Zeke over Ramsey. Ramsey is a childish tool.
Lai'l Collins
Moving Jones back to CB.
Drafting Pollard, a true change up back to Zeke.
Bringing in John Kitna to fix some of Dak's issues. At least for the first 10 games.

Those are just off the top of my head.

Quinn was a good move...
Cooper is still a good move
JG getting fired will be a good move

Until this team achieves any real success no decision, no matter how good it appears in the short term, can be considered brilliant.

Overall though, the decision making is far better than it was 10-25 years ago albeit with a few too many terrible decisions sprinkled in.

you want to see men in jock straps instead? I say women's thongs are just what football needs, but then again its for women so burn it kill it we hate it right?

Oh stop. You want to see women in thongs? Go scour the internet for billions of pics. Go turn on tv. Go look at your significant other or whomever you have in your life. Or go watch that lame women's league they had. You are making up some red herring that sounds lame. You are trying too hard.

Far better than that time frame yet the same exact results. So then how much better is it really? We have not progressed one bit since the year after the last Super Bowl win. We continue to fizzle out in the same round we did that year.

Just the sick culture we live in today. Can't even have football without sex. Sad.

Brilliant moves aren't as common as people think, but some good moves were drafting Michael Gallup, Tony Pollard, Dak Prescott, and a few others, signing La'el Collins, Randall Cobb, Joe Looney, Blake Jarwin and Cameron Flemming, trading for Michael Bennett and Robert Quinn, hopefully the Cooper trade proves to be as good as it initially looked, Extending Zack Martin.

Obviously there were some not so good moves along the way too, as well as other issues, but if the Cowboys were as bad at everything as some make them out to be they would be a perpetual 3 wins per season team and would never have won the division in recent years.
What good was trading for Bennett? What did he contribute really besides plenty of offsides? A lot of those are pretty 'meh' things.

Drafting Zack Martin over Johnny Manziel.......a no brainer to everyone except Jerry Jones
I agree, but a massive number of people on this board did not at the time.

It was so dramatic that I stooped low enough to start recording the names of all those that said we'd rue the day for passing on Johnny. Several were saying he was already better than Romo would ever be...lol.
People have short memories or maybe you weren't here then? but I think you were.
It was well over 50 regular posters....many that are still here.

He contributed playmaking on the D-Line. As a part time player in Dallas, and in only 9 games, he was 2nd on the team in tackles for loss and 3rd on the team in both QB sacks and QB hits.

The offsides were frustrating, but that was really one game, and a game we won. Don't exaggerate that into a suggestion it happened constantly and overrode any good he did.

I like to have sex while watching football, but that's just me. I'm sick.

Really wishing the mods would let me post the lyrics to "The Bad Touch" by Bloodhound Gang.

I think the roster decisions have improved greatly since Jerry and Lacewell were trying to either get one more ring out of the ageing core and then trying to rebuild with retreads and Quincy Carter/Drew Henson types. Since 2011/12 the FO finally seemed to realize that they needed to invest in the trenches on both sides of the ball and they built a quality O-line and then focused on D-line. It's obviously not perfect, or even good enough but I like to believe the days of drafting Carter as the heir apparent or trading first round picks for Roy Williams or paying Brandon Carr top dollar are behind us.

I know it's not good enough but it is better than the dark ages of 97-05 and 11,12,13.
