I am saying I don’t think it’s a done deal that Garrett is gone yet. That’s different than saying I want him to be head coach next year.

I don’t think he awesome. I do think that Jerry could do worse: See: Campo, Dave; Edwards, Herm; Kitchens;

It reads like part of you IS for keeping him. Whether that's intentional or not, that's how you're coming across.

I don't known who the culprits were but I'd love to know what the people who believed Garrett wanted out of here, are thinking now. The ones who said the culture, Jerry, and whatever else, would make him want to leave.

Doesnt look like hes anxious to leave and in fact, dont think weve heard much of other teams wanting to get a chance to interview him either.

Hanging around your place of employment while you know they are interviewing your replacement isnt a good look. For a guy who many thought would be a highly sought after coach, doesnt seem like hes got many opportunities lined up.
It also tells me nobody else wants him or he'd be interviewing with other teams.

Not sure which thread I posted it in but this was the segment I was referencing earlier when speaking about McCarthy getting consideration.

Does that sound like a guy who is confident in his ability to go lead any team?

It comes across as pathetic.

"Pathetic" is the perfect description.

Everyone in the organization looks pathetic.

Its what happens when you don’t publicly state your intentions. I thought Jerry was a marketing genius? Just sad.

I think it's what happens when feelings and relationships override common sense and putting success first.

This is why the Cowboys under Jerry Jones have failed for 25 years. Relationships and comfort come above everything else.

I will say this:

I think that there is a good chance that Garrett stays in some capacity, and that may be more likely than head coach. But as of now, I don’t think he is leaving the Cowboys organization.

I get this but that one statement from Ochoa makes it seem like he’s a groveling wuss

So what has been going on during the "run out the clock" meetings between the Cowboys and coach Jason Garrett? From Garrett's perspective, the goal is to keep his job. Ed Werder o...

Garetts begging and hanging on waiting to have his deal go while interviews have been conducted and others scheduled is a bad look on him.. its borderline undignified and smacks of desperation..

your time is done, walk away with some dignity as Jerry and Stepohen are trying to allow you to do by not saying You are fired turn in your key cards and leave..this FO has taken heat for allowing this to be handled quietly and jst let it pass without much public fan fare on was he fired or did they part ways on an expired contract..

I have never seen a HC with his kind of tenure act this wy..

dude its over..seems like hes waiting in hopes that the other interviews doesnt excite jerry and Stephen and they offer him a new deal??SAD :( :(

I think we need a better head coach, but if it means bringing in another Campo you might as well stick with Garrett. So I think it depends on what the team’s intention is, whether parting with Garrett is good or bad.

This is a lot like the Dez situation. Just because something is unpopular doesn’t mean it cannot be accurate. Although I was all for getting reid of Dez.

Im ok with moving on from Red Ball if they are not just rearranging deck chairs on the titanic. But I am not sure that call has been made by Jerry just yet.

I think that is speculation/wishful thinking.

No I think it’s closer to truth and that’s why we e heard Werder say he’s gone and handling with “utmost respect.” David Moore is an even keeled reporter and likes JG snd he says he’s gone. Sturm is friends with Aikman and others and has not moved off of 100% gone. I think the Joneses have a psycho ex on their hands and are letting the contract run
