He may be better than Garrett, but that isn't saying much. Concern is that if Jerry hired him, he must be a yes man puppet too.
I stated in an earlier post that when I go car shopping, I always feel like I overpaid because the dealer was willing to sell me a car. In this case, "If Jerry hired him, he must be a puppet". By that logic, I'd have to take a bus or walk everywhere I go and the Cowboys would only hire a coach destined to fail. I'll take the optimistic approach and give him a chance to see what he can do. His coordinators will have a huge bearing on his chances. I'm very anxious to see how the remainder of the staff gets filled.

No matter who the Cowboys hired that’s the reaction you’re going to get from some. You can’t make everybody happy, we’ll just have to see how it goes. The one positive is he’s had success and won a Super Bowl.

All jokes aside, I'm very surprised this was such a quick search.

And does this mean Garrett was fired? Or do we currently have two head coaches?
We have two coaches until 1/14/20. That's when Garrett's contract runs out.

I hope like hell that I’m wrong. I’d love to eat crow.
I hear ya. Honestly I don’t know who I was wanting. I think because I don’t care for the packers I didn’t want there old coach. Him and there franchise qb quit getting along and rogers wanted him gone so boom. He was gone. He did win a SB and outcoached JG in 2 playoff games. Which isn’t hard to do, so I guess it’s a upgrade.

Okay never mind, after doing some research and seeing how active and self-reflective he’s been during his time off, I’m kind of intrigued by the hire.

Seems he took lessons learned in Green Bay and has tried to evolve as a coach. The fact that he’s turned to analytics and trying to make good on previous mistakes, this could be good! Let him bring in his own guys and I’ll be on board, hopeful!
There is so much that people don't know about McCarthy and his time away from the game.

When you watch the video about it, prepare for chills. This guys is ready.

11-16-1 in his last 2 years with Rodgers. Too stupid to realize he had a STUD in Aaron Jones.

Let’s hope we can match that greatness!!!!!!!
You guys with this Rodgers crap.

JFC why not interview other candidates? What was the hurry?

PR, if you drag to many of the guys the Jones boys wants, the fans might learn, if you keep it quick and fast, than they dont have time to get angry.

I threw up in my mouth a bit learning we hired McCarthy. Went to bed last night reading that article of why he was fired in GB. Better get some great assistant coaches and coordinators.

Why wouldn’t McCarthy want him though?

McCarthy is a WCO coach and may want a coordinator with more West Coast experience.

Doesn't mean he won't keep him, but Moore may get pushed back in a lower capacity.
