Pats have rebuilt 4 times since Garrett has been our coach.
Unfortunately we cannot lay blame on this at JG’s doorstep...
The fault lies with one man and that’s Jerrah himself.
Trouble is, all these teams start with a good foundation of management run by competent individuals and good coaches.
We may have the coach part taken care off but until Jerrah relinquishes the GM rôle and decision making to someone else...
Nothing will change

Well we went 4-12 like SF last season when Romo when down too and got Zeke and shiny new toys too. We just kept the doofus JG. That’s where we’ve been going wrong. Finally it’s done.
Keeping Marinelli might be just as bad as keeping Garrett. With a QB like Dak you need to pair him with an elite defense. That way you can win games with your QB throwing only a dozen times like the Niners and Titans. They had a small window to build an elite defense when everyone was on rookie deals, a roster full of cheap players including Irving, DLaw and Gregory but they stuck with Marinelli and failed to ever build that elite defense. Now the next coordinator is tasked with building one with nearly all the financial flexibility gone and Trysten Hill instead of David Irving...sigh.

Observing the dichotomy between the 49ers and the Cowboys has been one of the most depressing things about this season. We are witnessing one of our greatest rivals lapping Garrett's "process" in real-time. For some perspective...three years ago Chip Kelly was their head coach and Colin Kaepernick was their QB. Below is a link to their 2016 roster and their current roster.

In 3 years they've changed out their QB, RB, all of their WRs, TE, 4 of 5 of their OL, and all of their starters in the LB unit and their entire secondary. Also their punter in kicker have changed....all of this in 3 years and they've surpassed us. All of this continuity in Dallas is getting us nowhere. Teams are destroying, rebuilding, and lapping this franchise in 1/4th of the time afforded Garrett.
It’s a process.

It’s a process.

As has been mentioned. Part II. Kellen is Garrett, Mac is Wade.

History repeats itself in perpetuity. The Brand grows exponentially and continues its meteoric profit margins while the actual football team continues the longstanding tradition of .500 ball.
Garrett was right. It IS a process. A never ending one at that.

Swap coaching staffs for 2019 Cowboys/49ers and the Shanahan team stills goes to the Super Bowl...

Also helps when you have top ten picks for the last decades and you have money to spend. You bound to hit on some of those picks but they have done well with FA and draft picks.

What's a killer is when you compare the two rosters the Cowboys should compare favorably. The Cowboys offense all around had more talented players in 2019, sans the 49ers TE and FB.

Defensively the 49ers dline is loaded with talent particularly in the middle, which is an area we've neglected to address. The biggest difference vs the Cowboys roster by far.

The rear pretty clear it's scheme and coaching.
