    And so I answered it.

You’re just ignoring the answer and repeating a question (a rhetorical one at that) and claiming it wasn’t answered.

I think his neck injury was the issue with missed tackles and I'm willing to give him a chance in another system. He has shown a very good ability to diagnose plays, take on blockers and make tackles in rods d...

Yeah but in 2018, Smith also showed much better play recognition too. So was it just luck or scheme for the two?

And I can't blame his neck injury on his missed assignments or blown coverages, etc. LVE was bad last year and showed some disturbing Smith-like screw ups.

    IMO,
LVE neck injuries happen because of his height and leading with his head. He doesn't bend well when taking on IOL and gives up leverage quite often. He apparently played where he was the big guy an awful lot and never learned to stack with his arms and then shed the big guys. So he either isn't strong enough to shed or wasn't taught how to not lead with his head but still gain leverage and "stack and shed".
LVE seems like a good LB, but he is a SAM or a Will, and not a MLB that needs to be able to stop dives, traps, and shoot gaps on sweeps, as well as have middle coverage.

Which is one of the dangers taking small school players to begin w/. Many of them learn bad habits as they are able to get by strictly on athleticism instead of learning how to play.

Doesn't help that we seem to think that any LB can play any LB position that we draft them to play.

Sure, but you still need the right personnel and you need to build around the most talented players...which is now DLaw and Parsons.

Misuse of talent if we’re going to try and be cute and play them out of natural positions.

    You: “What’s 2 + 2?”

    Me: “4”

You: “You didn’t answer my question!”

    Me: “I did.”

    You: “You’re deflecting!!! Heeeeeeehaaaaw!!!”

The most talented players on defense are Parsons, Gregory, Diggs, and Boss Man Fat. DLaw is solid but he has hit his ceiling. He will never live up to his contract. The key to the defense to be relevant again will be those four. To be honest that scares me to death.

Listen to yourself. You're nothing but a spiteful punk. Surely you have something better to do than repeated taunts when you have no constructive contribution to a conversation.

Lawrence is coming off a season when he was one of the few DEs in the NFL that was top 10 in pass rush productivity and run D.

What in the world are you basing that off of..please don’t just say sacks.

I don’t think it suits us best, but yes, we have numerous 300 pounders on the roster. Hill, Gallimore, Urban, Justin Hamilton, Watkins, etc.

I am watching one of the worst defenses in the league and he is the leader of our defense. DLaw is a solid player but he is obviously not a game changer. In the big games against the WFT and the Giants he did nothing. The guy is paid like the best defensive end in football. He has to earn that money. He talks the talk but does nothing to back it up.

Ok...and that’s your opinion which is fine. I just shared statistical info backing up why he is paid the way he is so agree to disagree.
