This one is a gimme ladies and gents. Dallas is about to run over Washington and this game could very well get ugly. We’re about to make some noise to get ready for playoff football and what better way than to toy with a much inferior Commanders unit! 12-5 here we come!
This is the cowboys.......nothing is a gimme with this team.

I've watched enough games with Washington to know that these games can be very ugly and the records don't matter. I expect a game where we are going to have to fight for everything. Unless, Washington does the smart thing and plays for the #2 pick in April.

No NFL game is ever a gimme. The Commanders have had a bad year, but they always play Dallas hard, especially at home. They're not going to roll over. I know Coach McCarthy is preparing his team to play well against a team that will play us tough. Don't look past Washington. It's not playoff time yet. Beating Washington should be the only thing on the agenda right now. We'll worry about the playoffs when we get there.

Washington could literally have a worst to first scenario if they hit on coaches. free agents and draft choices. A franchise quarterback is where it starts for them. It’s a 0% chance because it makes no sense for Washington to win the game.
I see a scenario where Washington trades up to #1 to take the QB from USC. Chicago gets the #2 pick plus the 3rd round picks for from Washington in 2024 and 2025. Then, Chicago auctions off the #2 to pick to either the Patriots, Falcons, Raiders or Vikings.

There is no upside for the Commanders to win this game. They harm their future by beating the Cowboys this weekend. So, while the Cowboys have an incentive to win, the Commanders actually have an incentive to lose.

My mind drifts back about 1 year.
Their team was much better last year. I believe 7-8-1 heading into that game.

Sam Howell was fresh and giving them a bright light to their bleak season.

We crapped the bed early with the Anger drop and Turpin muffed punt.

They are resting vets tomorrow and will be at about 3/4th strength.

If we go in there, start with a few 3 and outs and the score is 10-10 at half or something close it could be trouble.

If we play our game and get up two scores early it won’t be a game.

So which team is going to show up?

There is always a chance, and honestly, what would be the most Cowboys-like thing to happen? The only question is who would be more upset, the Cowboys fans for them losing, or the Commanders fans for blowing the 2nd pick in the draft?

Washington will be trying to lose. They want that No. 2 pick.

The Cowboys have some of the most unlikely losses in team sports history.

1984 - Lost to the 0-11 Bills that ended up costing Dallas a playoff spot and ended a 9 year playoff streak.

2002 - Lost to the Texans in their first game ever.

1987 - Lost to scab players when most of our players had crossed the picket line and played - The move "The Replacements" starring Keanu Reeves was based upon this game. This is the biggest upset in NFL history.

2006 - Got beat by a tanking Rams team in the final game of the regular season. Rams fans were mad because it hurt their draft.

There's no sure thing in the NFL.

Custard's famous last words... nothing is a given, especially when it comes to the cowboys, Murphy's law anyone.

The weather man says no chance of rain today. I look out my window and it's downpouring. Ever day it is 50/50 chance of rain. So in football I think it to be about the same with win-loss ratios. I hope we win but I can't say definitely we are gonna win.

If we lose this game Big Mike should be fired. If we lose this game it’s on the coaches. I don’t want to hear about Dak or road games or anything. We’ve got a golden opportunity and if we don’t make the most of it then changes have to be made. Barring some horrible injuries or something crazy like that. But if we lose cuz of clock management or the players not being focused then it’s time for a change.
