So now the pre requisite now is that you need to have a top 5 defense to win a championship? Always an excuse for 9 the scrub.
 
I don't blame you HowardC, there's a lot of you mingling around here hoping for broke back Romo to show up and save the day, then ruin it in the play offs. Millenniums...SMH

Ok smart guy. Rodgers who is so awesome has won only 1 SB but he is great. Why has he only won 1? Because it takes an entire ****ing team. Favre only won 1 in how many years?

The point is Aikman had a top 5 D every year that they won the SB. Romo couldn't get a top 5 D once. They had a top 10 D a couple times but that is it. They also had some of the worst Defenses in Dallas history during his career. 2014 was their best chance and the D could not do a dammed thing to stop a 1 legged Rodgers.

Did Romo have some bad games? Yes, but he had way more good games than bad. Every QB has had bad games. Remember P Manning's stigma for a few years was he couldn't get it done in the post season.
 
He will improve a little to tease everyone to regress more later... his issue to me is more mental which is hard to correct.

If you can't win in the play offs, I have no use for you as a QB. I want a Staubach, I want an Aikman. That's the QB I want.

I honestly think with Garrett we will see the same crap no matter who the QB is. Other teams rebuild quickly because the HC is creative with new schemes and plays. Landry had years of success because he changed things up and got creative. If you watch basketball you see Mark Jackson couldn't get the warriors to do anything in the playoffs but as soon as Steve Kerr took he won a championship and has gone back every year since. Their starting SF left to go to Dallas, Kerr went and got Durant to replace him. McGee leaves to go to play with LeBron, Kerr went and got Cousins.

While Romo was a very good QB he couldn't win in the playoffs. The Seattle blunder and the GB no catch, etc. HC matters and unless Garrett changes his ways Dak will end up the same way as Romo, no success in the playoffs. People want another QB but the exact same things are going to happen with that QB. Dak is good enough to win, he isn't perfect and still developing but Garrett being a former NFL QB should be ahead of the game with developing QBs and that's just not the case.

If Garrett had Aikman and Staubach I don't think he could win aa championship with them

I gave Dak 3 years like I do all QBs and now I'm done. Just like I gave Romo 3 years.

If you want a Staubach then you must also want a Landry and a Doomsday Defense to go along with it then, right? If you want an Aikman then you must want a Jimmy Johnson, E Smith, and Irvin along with a Haley and Deion, right? It takes a team brother and maybe a few lucky breaks.

Sometimes you don't get what you want. Ask Dak with ZERO RECEIVERS. But if you're great, you'll find a way to win out of 10 years.
