Sometimes you don't get what you want. Ask Dak with ZERO RECEIVERS. But if you're great, you'll find a way to win out of 10 years.
Many great QBs never won a SB. It took Elway 12+ years to finally win one.

Yeah, but he won in the playoffs and he'd gone to the Super Bowl multiple times before winning. Keep digging

Some preseason play would’ve helped

I don't think that's as valid for QBs. For most players, real play is about real hitting, real tackling. That's why they're rusty.

For QBs, can you make your reads and hit targets with a rush? You don't get hit in practice, but you do get rushed.

I expect Lee to look a lot sharper with his tackling. He finally got some hitting.

I only expect Dak to get better because he had so many bad balls. Regression to the mean. I don't believe he is that bad.

Clean pocket, wide open receiver, even our backup QBs could have made that throw.

I think I got on him for putting up impressive numbers during the regular season only to become a little boy during the playoffs.

Tony Romo playoffs numbers:

61.6% completion percentage
1,316 yards
8 touchdowns, 2 interceptoins
93.8 QBR

He lost us one playoff game as a QB. The others we lost but he was not the player(s) that became "little boy" during the game.

..well, at least Dak knows there's an option for next time.

That football in Seattle, by the way, looked like it was rubbed down with Vaseline.

I fully expected to see Dak come out and noticeably show us all the hard work he'd done
to improve his mechanics in the off season. Instead, he looked exactly the same as
he did in the last half of last season. Very disappointed.

It was a brand new ball with the protective silicone spray from the manufacturer still on the ball. Game balls are rubbed down to remove the coating. It was a premeditated move as Seattle’s ballboys kept that ball in their ball bag with the intent to pull it out on any late game important field goal attempt. That incident forced the league to change the rules. Now each team controls their own balls and have separate balls marked for kicking. It was blatant cheating.
