1 Week away, and Cowboys football returns!

OK, here are my thoughts since I finished my coffee and can now think.

Finally it is here the start of the 2024 season and to the next journey of the Dallas Cowboys.
Today will be the last of the long boring Sundays. I love watching all the games that I can and how the season unfolds.

There will be some growing pains with basically a revamped team. But, yet, the same team. Pieces have been replaced with depth players, players that were injured, and all the rookies with some vet FA's.

I do not get into that myth of lame duck coaches or players. They are paid to do a job regardless. I mean, what are the owners to do, give everyone a new deal with one year left on the current deal. That is just not logical. They will play and coach to win.

I am excited but also a little bit cautiously nervous how they will start out. Rusty, or as they said in the Tom Landry days, playing like a well oiled machine.

Ok, those are my thoughts rather I was asked or not.

Crazy it's here already. This summer just absolutely blew by.

I'm having a hard time feeling jacked for this season, but I'll still definitely enjoy it once it arrives.

It's been a long off season, hearing "all in" made it even longer. With that said, we've debated the same topic(s), we've discussed Jerry and Stephen's use of "leaves" in terms of signing players. None of this matters as we're a week away from writing a new chapter in our Cowboys book. Why does the NFL make us wait so long, why can't we have football 24/7 365???? (Yes it's not realistic ). Ihope everyone's summer has gone great, it's time to get ready for Cowboys football.

A lot of us are upset/happy/confused/in rage, and it's understandable. When that ball gets kicked off, it's time to refocus!!!!! Let's go Cowboys, let's have a great 2024 season, Cowboys fans on here, you're the greatest!!!!!!

I am.noy excited at all. I actually don't care what happens this season. I won't be planning Sundays around Cowboys. I watch if I watch or I do t watch. Doesn't matter. Ad long as Jerry still running this team I refuse to care......

I do not get into that myth of lame duck coaches or players. They are paid to do a job regardless.

I think it depends on who the lame duck coach or player is as to how it affects their decisions or play.

For Dak, it's not a factor because no matter how he plays, unrestricted FA for a decent Qb is money in the bank.....for MM, he's 60 years old, apparently wealthy and has a SB ring. He can just coach games as usual.

But young HCs like Saleh and Sirianni are coaching for their futures and may make rash decisions in games...same goes for lame duck QB's like Justin Fields as pressure to survive could lead to reckless decisions as well
