Yes, there's probably more to the story. It could be that Edwards agent told them another team was going to sign Edwards.

It seems they're going to have to decide soon if they want to keep Edwards or Jack Crawford when D-Law returns.

I would assume it will be Crawford.

Where have you read good things about him since he's been in Dallas? Other than him being a former Seahawk and good on ST, he never played on defense. Everything I've read on him was that he didn't know the defense. This is not to suggest he couldn't be a good player down the road, but he hasn't shown it.

I'm sure that Toomer being a former Seahawk, gives him more credit as a good player, than another practice squad player, from another team.

He seems locked in. He was asked repeatedly about a new contract. All he talked about was the NYG game. I hope he's here for a looooooooong time. I think the Jerry and Stephen feels the same.

she is terrible. ill prepared, disorganized. i got excited when they hired jane slater a few months ago b/c she knows her sports but she got picked up by the longhorn network quickly.

Edwards knows his role. When they waive him, he doesn't turn in his playbook, he just puts it back in his locker.

There must be something I don't understand about the coach v. scout relationship, because it seems really weird to me that scouts are involved in the discussions at all once the player is on the roster. You'd think from there it's basically a coaching decision, and all the scouts ought to be doing is grading the players at each position for pro scouting purposes in case there's an opportunity to upgrade further. It seems odd that they'd have any say whatsoever on the personnel configuration that the coaches want for any given week.

It's the GM's role to add or cut from the 53. Jerry(Stephen) were the ones listening to the scouts and making decisions, not the scouts themselves.

I just want her to be more natural. She comes off as if she wants to prove that she knows football. Know your role, your a communications person with little experience, not a scout.
