Ok so now that Romo is released we have roughly 14,000,000 to work with. Where should this money get delegated? Carr or Claiborne ? Church or Wilcox ? One of the big DT's Williams or Poe? CB Bouye? I'd go Wilcox and Bouye and draft the rest of our needs...

Nope, not if the reports of Tony being released as a June 1st cut are right. We get back money but can't spend it until June 2nd.

I did not know they designated him June 1st that's kind of dumb if so. Gaining 10 million after June does nothing

I haven't seen anything on that in a few weeks.

I think PFT released a note on Tony being released tomorrow as a June 1st cut. We would get 14.7 back but,
can't spend it till June 2nd I think. The rest would come next year.

Its kinda funny, if your in the mood for it. We give Tony a chance to make a free agency tour, and we can't even spend the money til free agency is pretty much over.

Give him a chance to win a SB, and we can't even do it with the money we get ourselves.

Overthecap is saying we get $5.1 million cap savings if he is a pre June 1st cut and 14 million if considered a post June 1st cut. Is this correct?

We don't care much about FA. We are just shopping in the KMart bargain bin. We have plenty with 9mil
to sign those kinds of guys. McClay has about 20 applicants sitting on the couch right now.

We should, we just made someone else's free agency period by releasing Romo for nothing.

Yet we don't care. We are such a dominant unbeatable team......that we don't care.

Yeah right.

We aren't going to be players in FA. We'll wait until all the high priced guys sign elsewhere, see if anyone slips through the cracks and if not, then move onto Plan C and D players and think we are in great shape heading into the draft.

According to Stephen, the Cowboys will never be major players in FA again. It rarely worked out for them. They will build
through the draft and only try to fill in holes in FA with minor league contracts. That's the new Cowboy way and if you can't
take that, the Deadskins board is looking for free spenders.
