Any given Sunday, as they say. That was one of my former CZ handles during my perpetually banned days.

But it's true.

You guys can sit here and whine and moan all day about a loss. It's the 49ers. We're no good. They're the best, and we're the worst. Dak this, Jerry that..

Waah!

I'm still enjoying this season. I may criticize a few things here and there. I may call the FO, staff, or players out. But I refuse to sit here in an echo chamber and let all the crying kill my vibe.

We're not getting a new QB this year. We're not going to fire McCarthy mid-season. Jerry isn't going anywhere.

Why do teams practice? Why do teams watch film? Why do teams re-evaluate after the season and before the draft?

I see a lot of tears after a loss everyone knew might come. We're good. But the 9ers are good and they have great chemistry. Still, they stomped us once; doesn't mean they stomp us every time. Even if they do, why waste your time posting if all you're going to do is post the same one or two lines about Dak or Jerral Wayne all day?

I see some of you actually enjoy airing your grievances. Mostly, about the owner or #4. I challenge you to provide a thoughtful analysis or even better realistic workable solutions that can actually help solve the problem rather repeating the same futile one-liners.

17 games. We still have 12 more to go.

Then, the playoffs.

And look at it this way. If we don't make the playoffs with this team, it'll give us reasons to make changes for next year.

Before you even [predictably] say it, yes, Jerry will be here next year. And probably Dak. But if we all know that, why bang your silly heads against the wall crying about it? It's a game. The team you like lost. You still have other things in life to be happy about, hopefully. I like winning as much as the next person. But I'm not going to let a game that I have no control over ruin my day, or level of enjoyment this season.

A lot of our fans have become as predictable as Mike McCarthy's offense. We get it. You're not happy about the loss.

The only solution for the team is to hopefully win more of the next 12 games. Any Given Sunday.

You guys have seen that movie, right?
This is football...and they haven't learned how to overcome momentum changes when they come down. The core of this team is respectful, but the leadership on field is lacking still in meeting other team actions.

I’ll enjoy the season still, but the game has to be a wake up call for anyone who believed the team could compete for a Super Bowl. Dallas is headed for a Divisional round playoff exit at best, and that’s only because the NFC is relatively weak after San Francisco and Philadelphia.

It's not just one loss. It's the way they lost, it's the deer in headlights looks from our highest paid players, it's finally having the starting OL together and the offense being the worst it's ever been, Micah disappearing, the team and Dak imploding under pressure instead of stepping up to the plate. And for people like me, it's the realization that someone I've rooted for and hoped could get a championship in Dak, really isn't the guy and is as bad as all the "haters" have said. And it's knowing that once again, we have to start from scratch. I bet Martin retires if they go into rebuilding mode or lose this year, Tyron definitely will, and they'll have a good defense for a while but will have to strike gold on a QB again, and that's if by some miracle they actually move on from Dak. Sure, there's a small chance that Dak can step up but he seems especially lost this year and the narratives are getting to him. To this whole team. The offense looks completely inept, Mike was not the answer.

OP, I'm usually glass half-full like you are trying to be, but this team just emotionally exhausts me. It's hard to care about a sports team alot and then just brush it off when you get hyped for what should be their best year in a while and it's been more of the same. I'm in my mid-thirties and they haven't been to conference championship game since I was in Kindergarten. It's rough.

Examples of lesser talented teams beating superior talented teams are too numerous to mention so where does that leave us then?
Needing to fill the trenches w/ more talented players.

Honestly, when a lesser team wins, there is generally a huge reason. What I've seen over the years is that it is generally dominant trench players that cause this. We lost up front on both sides of the ball last night. Huge reason for the loss.

Its my choice to expect less out of this team each passing year. It’s been 28 years. It’s never been based on ”one game” but three decades. I still like the Cowboys, but my expectations are nowhere near what they were 30 years ago. Jerry created it. Since the salary cap began, he has shown to be useless as an owner when it comes to moving this team in the right direction. I can’t control it, so I dont sweat it….my fantasy football team provides me more excitement.

I lean more on the coaching angle personally but I can respect your opinion as well.

4-2 at the bye is what I thought they would be. I had losses to SF and NYJ (Rodgers).

This loss is different. The Cowboys spent the entire offseason preparing for this game and didn’t even mentally or physically show up. This was not an “any given Sunday” game. This was a game that forces most organizations to take a deep look at themselves and make changes, even drastic changes if needed. But the Cowboys will probably extend Dak, and roll with the majority of the core roster and coaching staff for the next few years.

I appreciate the positivity but that was a really bad loss. Dak looks cooked. Hard to see this team competing with SF and Philly at all. We will see.

We'll see what this team is made of in the next few weeks. The Cowboys have a tough schedule going down the stretch. This team could fall apart if they get another beatdown.

Sky is falling?

Tank the season.
Play Lance.
Ignore we have a winning record.

Realistic?

Not championship material. 49ers proved it.

Let’s not confuse them.
