What we learned last night is that at this moment in time the 49ers are the better team. The Cowboys have 13 weeks to figure out how to close the gap. The gap is not 32 points worth. But it is significant. The most disturbing thing I saw was how badly outcoached we were on both sides of the ball. Their guys were consistently in the right place on defense and their receivers were consistently running buck nekkid in our secondary. Call it coaching, call it poor execution, whatever you like.. But it has to get better.
The gap is 32 points though. That’s what discouraging. If we lost a close one I can see closing the gap. This ain’t a gap this is a flat out black hole.

Its better this happened now vs in the playoffs, assuming we get there. However, this team is far from invincible as evident yesterday and against the Cardinals.

The season isn't over by any stretch, but there's a lot that needs to be worked on to get this team back into the contender conversation.

I'm not sure this team can beat the Washington Commanders. They are SOFT and I'm not solely referring to Dak.
They’ll beat the Commanders. They will beat most teams on their schedule. This is the same team that drilled bad teams. The 49ers is their obstacle and I don’t see them getting over it anytime soon.

Right! that wasnt overlooking a team, or comming out flat... almost every player and every coach got pinned and it didn't look like it was hard...Dak is a problem he has plenty of company from last night, lots of soft everywhere on the field.

We saw last night why Dallas shouldn't be playing in any of the national TV games. They haven't earned the right. I'm thinking the NFL does this on purpose so that the entire planet can laugh at Jerry and his circus clowns.
Ratings...all about ratings. By the time we play the Eagles on SNF, it may be a candidate to be flexed. But we all know it won't...RATINGS....

Then again we could be playing for 1st place in the division....yes there is a little hope........notice the font size on that part....:muttley:

Any given Sunday, as they say. That was one of my former CZ handles during my perpetually banned days.

But it's true.

You guys can sit here and whine and moan all day about a loss. It's the 49ers. We're no good. They're the best, and we're the worst. Dak this, Jerry that..

Waah!

I'm still enjoying this season. I may criticize a few things here and there. I may call the FO, staff, or players out. But I refuse to sit here in an echo chamber and let all the crying kill my vibe.

We're not getting a new QB this year. We're not going to fire McCarthy mid-season. Jerry isn't going anywhere.

Why do teams practice? Why do teams watch film? Why do teams re-evaluate after the season and before the draft?

I see a lot of tears after a loss everyone knew might come. We're good. But the 9ers are good and they have great chemistry. Still, they stomped us once; doesn't mean they stomp us every time. Even if they do, why waste your time posting if all you're going to do is post the same one or two lines about Dak or Jerral Wayne all day?

I see some of you actually enjoy airing your grievances. Mostly, about the owner or #4. I challenge you to provide a thoughtful analysis or even better realistic workable solutions that can actually help solve the problem rather repeating the same futile one-liners.

17 games. We still have 12 more to go.

Then, the playoffs.

And look at it this way. If we don't make the playoffs with this team, it'll give us reasons to make changes for next year.

Before you even [predictably] say it, yes, Jerry will be here next year. And probably Dak. But if we all know that, why bang your silly heads against the wall crying about it? It's a game. The team you like lost. You still have other things in life to be happy about, hopefully. I like winning as much as the next person. But I'm not going to let a game that I have no control over ruin my day, or level of enjoyment this season.

A lot of our fans have become as predictable as Mike McCarthy's offense. We get it. You're not happy about the loss.

The only solution for the team is to hopefully win more of the next 12 games. Any Given Sunday.

You guys have seen that movie, right?
1. You are correct that last night is one out of 17 games and we can still get back on track and enjoy the season. Theoretically, we could still win the SB.

2. The problem with last night is that this trend of getting whipped by stronger teams while padding stats against weak teams continues.

3. Last night’s game also reveals a flashing beacon of neon light of the elephant in the room that about half the board wants to make excuses for and defend. That’s Dak Prescott.

We lost last night, in no small part due to Dak’s usual slow start, overthrowing receivers early, and very poor ability to see the field. Dak is eating a HUGE portion of the salary cap. Dak’s poor performance should not play a huge part in almost every game we lose.

Read that last line again. Dak’s poor play is killing this team in just about every game we lose. Can you think of many games during Dak’s entire career and say we lost, but man, Dak played great? There may be one out there somewhere but I honestly can’t remember any. THIS IS A PROBLEM.

4. I’m not even a Dak hater, but Dak is doing his best to force me on that train.

I'm telling you Dak is a problem but he aint alone, good players dont lay that egg in big games..name me the guy who showed up..hell the defense got rolled from the first minute of the game.. players running wide open all over everywhere...that has nothing to do with Dak's piss poor play..the flashing beacon neon light to me is some of the "Dogs" we thought we had are nothing compared to real dogs on better teams...

My positive look at things. Even with Dak.

This team can still rebound and make the playoffs. Still a long way to go. Maybe this butt whipping inspires them.

They can beat the LAC, go into the bye at 4-2.
LAR don't look all that great, we have them at home.
We could be 5-2 going to play at Philly, as everyone will predict us to lose and rightfully so, but let's see where Philly is at that time as well. Anyway, say 5-3
We then play the NYG, Carolina, then Washington, Seattle at home, all winnable games, yes even with Dak. that is 9-3.

Then we have Philly at home, and I always give us a split with NFCE rivals unless one team is so much better than the other. I will say we lose the one though. 9-4
at Buffalo and Miami, these will be the type of games they lose, 9-6. Home against Detroit, who seem to be very physical, lose, 9-7.
Than at Washington. From what we seen from them so far, I will give us a win 10-7, most likely a WC.

However a few of these can go the opposite surprise win or loss. so anywhere from 8-9 to 11-6, but pretty doubtful on the 11-6.

Well i'm glad you can handle losses like this but I'm at a age where I may never see a SB run again. Yes its only a game but I expected us to take the next step this year, that is the most disappointing part, and last night showed were not even close.

Hopefully we rebound but I'm still in the 48 hour venting period.

It's more than one loss.

It was supposed to be the measuring stick by which we were trying to show we belong in the same conversation as the 49ers and Eagles. It came two weeks after we also got embarrassed by a bad Cards team. In this game, the QB again came up small in a big spot and the coach calling the plays again showed a lack of creativity and an inability to scheme a solid game against a top notch defense.

This follows a continuation of what we have seen over the past few years as well.

But yeah. It's just one game. We'll contend for sure anyway.

LOL.

I'm with you. Despite how we lost, it's just a single loss and there is more than enough time to re-tool and have another shot at the Niners. And I want another shot, whether opening round of the playoffs, Divisional round or Championship game. Anything can happen. It wasn't the 44-6 slamming shut of the season's door so you continue until you can't.

It's not a single loss. It's the Cowboys losing to the 49ers for 3 seasons in a row every time in a game where they have a chance to prove they can take their team to the next level. I have no confidence in this team to do anything in the playoffs, especially if they have to go against the 49ers in the postseason. Then it's going to be the same story of Dak failing to show up against the 49ers defense and this whole team finding a way to fold against them.

It's a measuring stick game. We're gonna need a shorter stick.

This game reminded me of the loss to the Skins back in 1983. A highly hyped game between two of the best teams in the NFC. Dallas got their butts kicked at home. That one was worse.
