#17 Kellen Moore is On The Roster

Kellen Moore's number with the Lions was 17, so he has the same number here he had there.

Give Weeden a run???? He's practically got him beat already. And for stretching a field....I'd put money on it straight up Kellen could out throw Romo distance wise. Do people really think Romo can still heave it 60+ yards? I know Kellen can....I seriously doubt Romo can w/o a running start.
The JJ Watt spin play was about 60 yards in the air.

Moore was pretty good in college playing against some good teams. Anyone know why he did not workout in Detroit?

Put this into perspective.....Detroit knew they were gonna let Suh leave in free agency....Wasting a top pick. Can you imagine the backlash if an undrafted free agent qb comes in and out plays your #1 overall
pick QB? Detriot didn't want to risk looking stupid..... twice

Could he be put on the active roster, waive a vet player. See what he can do. Try to slip him on the PS after a few weeks. Bring back the vet player.

Not likely. First you expose the vet player to waivers if under 4 years. If over then he's a FA. Second if you put him on the roster then send him to the PS he has to pass thru waivers so you may lose him and almost certainly the vet.

Put him on the PS and let him hold a clipboard and learn the offense while serving as the emergency QB.

I combined a cupcake, clock and brownie. I call it a tickcrownie.

The Advantage with Moore on the practice squad might well be his desire to stay with the Cowboys and Linehan long term. He likely would turn down offers (ala the rb last year) to be patient on the ps, learn the system in hopes of supplanting Weeden at some point sooner than most think.

You just don't get by in this league with being short and having a weak arm. He has a high football IQ and a good college pedigree, but that's where it ends for him. You'll have to change up the entire playbook to work around his weak arm.

I like the fact Moore worked with Linehan In Detroit. There will be a familiarity between the 2.

QB #17 is now listed on The Cowboys Roster...

Dude played in 53 Games at Boise St., they won 50..

Garrett says he's, "Very Productive." Sounds like somebody else on this same roster..

Productivity over beauty, just win baby....

Would not be surprised if Weeden gets cut as soon as Moore knows the playbook.

If he can protect the football and just manage a game he is a significant upgrade over what we have.

I wonder if Uncle Rico is the Cowboys fan club president up their in the Idaho foothills these days.

They already have Stafford...

Not sure if you guys are joking or being serious in saying he was too good to keep on the roster?

I've never seen the kid play but his numbers look great so there's that. Doesn't always translate but he knows Linehams system...

Brees Flutie Tarkenton say hello but ur right in general

He's better than Vaughn and Showers, and a good bet to be better than Weeden in short order.

He's your future backup to Romo next year. Done.

That doesn't explain why he couldn't beat out 5th round draft pick Dan Orlovsky for the backup QB job.
