The Cowboys won the NFC East in 07, 09, 2014, 2016 2018, 2021 and never got past the second round of the playoffs. It’s laughable for anyone to think not winning the division cost us a Super Bowl. Lol

Considering how many home playoff games we have lost lately. It might.be a good thing.

This game might have been a turning point for Dak and the Cowboys. The offense lit the number two defense in the NFL up for 40 points and scored on 8/10 drives. CeeDee has become an true number 1. The Cowboys appear to have learned from the Packers and Jags loses. Looking forward to the playoffs. I think we can do some damage.
Now we just need to get the D on track, which is supposed to be their strong point but they've given up a lot of points lately against sub par teams and also given up big leads which is even more concerning.

Our DE have slowed down to help with the run and now we have no pass rush. And Parson is worn out.

This sucks. 2 games we were up by 14 and 17. Blew it. Should have won both in ot at minimum. Cost us division and Super Bowl.
Super Bowl? We haven’t won a divisional playoff game in over a quarter of a century so what makes you think even if we won the OT games, that a Jerry-led, Jerry-coached team can win a Div game. Lol.

I would say the best regular season teams in the past three years has not won the Super Bowl.

2019: Baltimore lost in divisional round
2020: KC Lost to TB
2021: Top 2 seeds in each conference lost before SB.

I don't believe KC, TB, and LAR were the best teams. But that doesn't matter. All that matters is playing great at the right time. And having a team in which defense travels and offense is good enough.

There's no question this team is fully capable of defeating Philly, SF, TB, KC, Buffalo, Bengals, or whoever else.

Doing it is a different story.

You do realize the Super Bowl has yet to be played and there are 2 games remaining in the season, right?

Yes, because the best team in the league with the best statistics always wins the Super Bowl.

I mean majority of the time, the higher seeds make it deeper than wild card seeds. Sure, you can have outliers where wild card teams make a Super Bowl run but it's pretty rare. If you are going to do it, you need to have a very solid defense that travels. That's what the Giants in 2007, 2011 and Bucs in 2020 had. All of those defenses could consistently rush the QB and made very timely plays when needed. Also throw in the 2010 Packers who made the run.

Can we count on our defense to do that for 3 road games in a row? Very doubtful. Those 2 OT losses will stop us from a deep playoff run unless the Eagles lose out (which is unlikely).

KC was the best team in 2019. Lamar Jackson doesn't travel well come playoff time. He wasn't going to be able to keep up with Mahomes. I think KC lost a fluke game very late in the season to give Baltimore that 1 seed.

Come back from the ledge just a little bit granted we did ourselves no favors All we needed was a first down in that jaguars game unbelievable but the season is not over injuries happen games have to be played and circumstances and situations arise that change what we view will happen.

That said those two games hurt our chances but who would have thought that we would have been playing in the best division in football after we have been called the NFC least forever.

Just about any other division we'd be in first place no it doesn't make me feel any better either but on any given Sunday anything can happen if we get healthy and the coaching staff is capable of preparing us we have a puncher's chance to at least go further than we have in the past
