Regular season games don't decide championships. They only decide playoff opponents and where the games will be played.
Wildcard teams get the least consideration, and they should. They are the 2nd place teams. Basically they only exist to add a round of playoff games to enrich the owners. Every once in a while, they do something interesting
Last year five of the six wildcard teams were eliminated in the 1st round. The only exception was the team that played he Cowboys.
So, the Cowboys are going to have to do something interesting in order to advance in the playoffs.
Focus, Preparation, and good player health decide Championships
