I get that it might have been a legit call, but to construct a narrative that that one call was the game is frustrating, especially with the numerous sketchy drive killing calls going against us. Besides, I doubt that hit made Bradford throw the ball ten yards out of the back of the end zone.....

Yep..

We had several head scratchers go against us. Their head scratcher just ca,e at the worst time for them.

They should've got the call but we should've had some non-calls.

Yes, the Vikings actually did false start TWICE. That 2nd attempt should've been blown dead and another 5 yards assessed.

Nice going, refs!

Someone needs to spread that on social media before all of these shows start to complain about the hands to the face.

The worst one to me was the clip called on Escobar.

Bradford had the RB open over the middle for an easy dive-in TD.

It's annoying as hell, that last non-call is going to get all the attention even though the refs kept the Vikings in this game,,,, reminds me of the Detroit playoff game two years ago and we all know what happened the following week in Green Bay.

Side note... Thornton cleanly hits Bradford's arm FIRST which created an errant pass... yes there was a penalty but I hate the fact that some deem the errant pass as a RESULT of the would be penalty. Very difficult to ask Thornton to restrain his right arm/hand in full speed.

Thanks for posting.

I'm like, "Cry me a river." Penalties were missed throughout the game. Vikings loss. Cowboys won.

11-1.

It didn't seem like the non-call hit impacted the trajectory of the ball. Bradford just threw a high pass and was trying to find something to blame it on.

No Thornton clearly hits Bradford's throwing arm around the elbow with his left hand, then follows through to his face with his right...

I think the refs should have a little latitude on the blows to the head or roughing the passer penalties anyway. On a play like last nights the pass rusher virtually MUST get his arms up to potentially block the pass. If the blow to the head is inconsequential and not particularly hard, no penalty. If the blow to the head IS significant then fine, throw the flag. Thornton's blow to Bradford's head occurred AFTER the release and was not hard at all.
Note to Minnesota fans and Cowboy haters: It's American tackle football. It's rough. Get over it.

Love hearing the jealous butt-hurt haters and fans of other teams complain every week.

Every week I keep hearing the same thing.

But then every week we just keep winning.

At the most wasn't that a slap or brush to the side of the helmet ?? Didn't seem really big of a hit.

Honestly that hit is not why the rule is in place. The hit had no effect on the play at all.

I hate the rule in concept when the defender gets his hands up to deflect the pass.

Too many bad calls on us to worry about one that did not get called for them.

I have adopted the philosophy of not ragging on the refs for calls that go either way. All teams get them.

Philosophically speaking the Vikings are still playing regular season games. Win and perhaps you will make the play-offs.

It's not like the refs reversed a TD that put you ahead in a play-offs game only to lose because of their reversal. (Not that I actually agree with the premise here)

The ball was out of Bradford's hand before he was hit in the helmet. Just like in the NBA and a lot of other sports.... at the end of the game, the officials want the players to decide the outcome of the game - not the officials.
