I dont think you have enough trade capitol this year to get a QB thats not a flyer, Obviously i'm very biased but you could get the TCU QB Max Duggan in mid rounds Maybe...First round your going to have 2 WR TCU Q John (yes im a TCU fan but he is good), and OSU big WR Jaxson, but also probably 3 very good CB's, and an OG from Florida Torrence (dont think he will still be on the board) NOW if by some (Weed smoking in a gas mask) incedent you can grab a Georgia DT you do it.

Fair points but I don't agree. Assuming you correct about curl routes, the unknown is: is Moore limited in what he can draw up because of Dak's limitations? There are types of routes Dak simply can't throw which limits Moore. So this may be more about Dak than Moore. We don't know. Also, you call out a couple of perceived weaknesses, but the the bottom line is this was the #2 offense in the league. That doesn't square with the OC having glaring weaknesses that other OCs don't have. I also don't buy for second we have the 2nd best offensive personnel in the league. That can't be the case when our QB is so limited. I also disagree on CD and crosses despite what Irvin said (I assume that's what you are referring to). Those 2 picks where everyone was quoting Irvin were completely Dak's fault if you look at the All 22. Dak completely locked in on CeeDee and the safety jumped the route. There was no universe in which those 2 throws weren't going to be picks.

Yep Crash and as much as I'm crying for a QB to be drafted my trust level on the Cowboys having good QB draft evaluators is low. To say the least. McClay and his scouts do a good job mostly but QBs, by nature, are those boom or bust guys.

BUT again, my absolute opinion is to move on from Dak as quickly as possible. Draft first, but I'd settle for trade or whatever and make the cap work. Change is mandatory. Vice just giving in to his BS contract for 2 whole more seasons.

Max needs 3 years before playing NFL football at this level. Think Romo.

Cowboys don’t have enough draft capital to draft QJ. He’s a top 15 pick. Rashee Rice is more likely. He’s like a Mike Williams WR.

I love Rice, Ive seen him in the 2nd alot (I actually think he is better than alot of the WR on the board)

Max played alot of football in College for a power 5, now no doubt he may need time, i think he is much diferent than Romo to be honest much diferent physically and path to the NFL.

Max’s accuracy and progressions are not NFL level. Most Frog fans would agree starting with the Big 12 Champ, his passing game was way off the last 3 games of the season.

He belongs in a system like Buffalo/Phil. Where they can use the QBs mobility and have him learn to be a NFL-level passer.

We are in total agreement about the true measuring stick being what you do in the post season, and that you face tougher defenses in the post season. And I appreciate you listing what you see as a couple of Moore's flaws. Where I am stuck is I just don't understand why so many people are just jumping to the conclusion that the problem with our offense in the post season is the OC when there is another, glaringly obvious (to me) explanation in the QB.
There are things you can do to mitigate the quarterback with scheme, though. Dak may not be a great one, but he isn't a bad one. Looking at the San Fran game, there were plays that we ran where we got the receivers open, the protection held up and Dak missed the throws, that's on Dak. But our offense also was struggling to move the ball and we didn't have anything to counter that other than to continue doing what we were doing. That's on the offensive coordinator. If you can't run the ball pounding the middle over and over again, do something different -- screens, jet sweeps, RPOs, etc. Even though Elliott is limited in his ability to run outside, you've got to do something else than going jumbo and asking your guys just to win the line of scrimmage. Got get them also to respect the outside run even without Pollard.

Fair points but I would argue there was plenty Moore did to mitigate Dak's weaknesses, and these weaknesses were a massive impediment Moore had to work around.

Unless you can present an argument that discusses my point, you're worthless, emotional and boring.
Which proves my point and you don't even get it.

Moths to a flame.
