2 reasons we lost

1. Defense just lets you chip at them all day.. You mix in the run with chip passes all day then that is what you get.

2. To predictable on first down.

Offense did their job though at the end of the day.

We missed T. McClain and J. Mincey on the D-line bad today!

Did you watch the 2nd half?

1. No Romo & Dez (imagine the Falcons minus Ryan & Julio Jones)

2. No Hardy, Gregory, Mincey, RoMac, McClain (the lack of pressure was a killer in the 2nd half)

The Falcons basically beat our 2nd team in several areas...and the defense simply got worn out. Despite the offensive deficiencies (costly penalties, lack of anything downfield, etc.)...the offense put up 28 points. Unfortunately, they couldn't do much in the 2nd half.

Another 2 reasons.....

1. The Cowboys played a good 1st half (could've been better minus the Weeden Int that turned into an ATL TD)

2. The Falcons played a better 2nd half (the lack of adjustments especially on Jones was frustrating)

We had no pass rush. Ryan had all day to throw..

tackliing was more than poor..

Marinnelli made no adjustment to stop Julio Jones..

they allowed Jones to go into the slot against Patman..

never moved a CB inside on him and never tok Jones and at least assigned double coverage whereever Jones went.

Unbelievably arrogent on Marinelli's part.

Weeden is not capable of throwing anything more than checkdowns and TE 5 yds. passes.

That will not get it.

We are definitely in very big trouble.

Agreed. I had the exact same observations. Didn't understand the man coverage on JJ all day. I never saw a jam, a hand, bump, etc. Unless I missed something, he just released at will all day long. The ATL running game must've forced Dallas to stick to man....

It's bend but don't break football guys. This is what we signed up for.

The reason why we lost is we couldn't run the football in the second half. We were up 28-14 and blew it. Our runs were for -1 and -4 yards etc, something like that. Awful. We can't run the ball unless we have complete space like he did in the 1st quarter.

This
We are night and day from the team last year

Got that.

True..

but the lack of any adjustments either offensively or defensively was pathetic.

I mean when they stack 8 in the box..

You throw down field to back them off..

never happened.

When Julio Jones is shredding your secondary and the pass rush can't get to Ryan..

send some safeties or CBs or LBers on some blitzes..

don't just let the other team dictate.

I thought we were a better team than this.

I stand corrected..obviously not.

@ least Kellen Moore would complete a pass to a WR........

We are in trouble if we can't come up w/ a pass rush

There is only one reason the Cowboys lost today - the defense failed to do their job. The offense scored enough points to win in the NFL. The defense allowed points on the board that will get you beat in most games.

Two Reasons:

1. Coach called a Timeout stopping the clock for the other team...led to 3 points, and a glimmer of hope.

2. Coach calls a pass play, on 1st down, for the BACKUP QB, when the running game couldn't be stopped.

Cowboys were out coached in 2ND half starting from the end of the first (stopping clock on last TD) and no adjustments when Falcons took away running game. Weeden must never ad lib, he needs to throw ball early at all times. He is not one of those QBS that can carry a team, especially coming from behind. D on field too much in 2nd half partly because offense could not convert 3rd down but also because could not stop the run which opened it up for Julio Jones.

Dallas doesn't coach..

We have a system.. That's all we do..

When it works it works and when it doesn't it doesn't. Dallas doesn't scheme teams.

We lost because the FalconsFalcons D realized they didn't have to worry about any deep throws so they could sell out on the run and only have to worry about short passes. I blame Linehan for this loss. Gotta put a little fear of a deep ball in the D's mind.
