Did anyone else find the penalties annoying? Good grief, just let them play!

I appreciate the refs but, when it's the focal point of the game it bums me out.

maybe it's just me?
Way to many presnap penalties. Those are the most annoying because its mental. Line up off side. Illegal motion. 12 men on filed! Had to use a timeout because we had 12 men on the field for the second time! Once we had penslty. Thats coaching.

Yet they swallowed the whistle on multiple penalties committed by the Chargers on the muff, then made a bogus ruling of Chargers' ball based upon the results of them refusing to call blatant penalties that caused the disaster.

Flag happy all game, but willing to monumentally screw up with no calls on one of the most critical moments in the game. We are lucky that crap didn't cost Dallas the game.

Another who doesn’t know the rules. All this complaining because you don’t know what happened
You don't know what you are talking about. It was a horrifically bad decision and it all started with a no call on a blatant hands to the face. Everything after that should not have mattered.

Hands to the face was missed, the no interference on a fair catch was because he was engaged with a blocker and the blocker hit Turpin, no different from a blocker pushing a punt rusher into the punter no penalty.
Nothing that happened after the hands to the face matters at all other than that the refs blew it and gave a possession to the Chargers that was bogus.

Seen many holding calls on Dallas DL by LAC OL, not called. They did finally end up with 3 calls though.

The DPI on Gilmore was horrible.

I seen a few hold on Dallas OL that were missed, but were maybe be the the questionable area as well.
I noticed this year, the TV are not replaying all the penalties as they used to do showing why as well explaining it.
Like they are covering it up not to show how bad they are, the refs.

Now they have this excuse Blandino was saying in one of the Sunday games. The NFL office have extra cameras and angles and multiple screens they can compare different angle simultaneously. Making excuses to protect the refs. That is probably true, but when it is a bad call, and everyone sees it, it all sound bogus.
I think it was a call in the Philly game where Hurts was called short of the 1st down. There was no conclusive evidence he made the 1st down. But yet they reversed it, and that was when Blandino mentioned that.
I notice that too. They do not replay or explain numerous penalties, clear pass interference, or holding. Just gloss over or ignore it. I think the league told to the tv announcers to cool it.

To me, the most inexcusable are unsportsmanlike conduct and roughing the passer. I know adrenaline gets flowing, but hold your emotions together for the sake of the team. Kearse always seems to be guilty of these, then looks shocked when he gets called for them.
I think 10 yards for offensive holding is too much. It usually negates a pretty good gain that was the result of the hold, then moves the back back another 10 yards. I’d like to see it changed to 5. Besides, it could probably be called on pretty much every play.

For sure, it was getting annoying on both sides.

They may have been flag happy but there’s no excuse for our DL being off side so many time. It’s just unreal to be there close to the ball and still be lined up in the neutral zone.
cant blame the refs for all of them, it is on the 2 HC not coaching up their players properly, or the players just being stupid.

It was rough, but at least they called them on both sides minus the fair catch interference

There was a time back in the day when holding was 15 yards.

No player shall grasp and control, twist, turn, push, or pull the facemask of an opponent in any direction
NFL adds a clarification to make it clear that brief contact is not illegal:

“Note: If a player grasps an opponent’s facemask, he must immediately release it. If he does not immediately release it and controls his opponent, it is a foul.
Here you go watch again

by the way we're gonna find out that muffed punt on turpin is in fact a penalty. was illegal halo rule as its in the rules. You cannot intentionally push your blocker into the returner, he launched that blocker into him and i bet the rule will be dug out that that was interference and should have Been our ball.. It will come out.. huge play could have cost us the game.

I wonder how many penalties were actually called. I think like 4 on us were declined. crazy how undisciplined this team is.
They've been top 3 in penalties the past 2 seasons and well on their way doing it again this season. We've been hearing McCarthy talk about addressing penalties forever. When does his coaching finally kick in? Year 6?

The hit by Kearse on Herbert was a total joke, Herbert was a runner and slid after Kearse already started to lay the wood on him.

No way should that have been a penalty.

He needs to hit them where it hurts by instituting a fine system. Although I’m sure the Union would never allow it.
