I still pray that we kick Tyler Smith to LT, Beebe at LG, Hoffman at Center, ZM at LG, and Steele/Guyton at RT. I think this gives us the best chance to be successful this year.
I think you're right about best line up for this year.
But the offseason moves and lack thereof this season tells me that they have little interest in being successful this year.
Instead, this year is about development for the future, so Hoffman is probably out of the lineup for Beebe and both Steele and Guyton start.

CooperB is All American / All Conf.

He’s gonna dominate. The best pick in our draft.

TGuy needs work. His lack of AllConf/All American awards is a red flag. Still the kid has talent. He will be ok.

Solari might hold him back.

I think signing Zeke back has an impact on this , think tank of the team knows Guyton will have growing pain and so having Zeke will help in Pass protection.

But that’s all moot if Guyton struggles in the camp ( against Parssons it’s ok , but rest )
I'm sorry but as much as I wanna believe some of that and I can get on board with a little of it trying to tell me that he should be able to beat a very seasoned Wiley tank and Sam Williams who has one of the best first steps in speed like bending around the corner of any of our guys on this team you're underestimating Sam Williams he may not be under control a lot but he gets to the quarterback and the punters really really fast and he can bring some power to... You talking about a room full of very talented pass rushers I wouldn't be concerned if he's getting beat by those guys early on in camp because that's the way it should be but I hope by the end of pre season he's better for it.,.., he will go through growing pains it may look really bad at first but a lot of people were concerned about Tyler Smith and even some of what he was doing in preseason where he was still holding and they was gonna get a lot of penalties but he settled in and I believe guyton probably will do the same , give him a chance to mess up and fixes issues before they completely pull the parachute on him just being the starter...

Guyton will be out there week 1 against Myles Garrett.
And we'd have a really dumb coaching staff if they left him alone out there so I expect if that's how miles lines up they'll bring help over there as much as possible and by the way I don't think many left tackles or right tackles in this game can block one-on-one miles Garrett can we get that straight let's not overreact if he eats his lunch all game because it is game one I believe it might even be on the road I don't remember but miles Garrett destroys most people he's on the other side of..... I know what people are gonna do if he can't handle miles Garrett they're gonna freak out and want him pulled out of the game and not start game two now that's not how it works he's gonna get baptized by fire... And hopefully he's better for it but the front office and the coaches better have a plan to be able doing a lot of chipping and hope we don't lose Ezekiel Elliott in game one trying to help out guyton... Hell I'd be just as concerned with steel will steel come out and be a lot better than he was in game one last year that fails to be seen they may go pick on him...

I am hoping they give Asim every opportunity to be, at the very least, the swing tackle
I agree there should be a lot of competition along the offensive line at almost all positions.. I think the best player in camp and preseason should start... And I think they will I don't think they're just gonna throw the guy out there that's raw and green if he's struggling all preseason and if another guys playing better you could probably rotate them in and out throughout the season and see who comes to form quicker... But I also see a lot of Tyler Smith in Richards I like Richards...

Guyton will likely be granted starting from the get-go, even in game one. He needs to get all the experience he can get to develop properly. If he has any trouble with pass protection in game one, Zeke might, hopefully, be on hand to tend to the few blocks that he finds troublesome. I expect his performance to reflect his round one draft position with few difficulties.

Not sure how much this plays into the decision to keep Tyler Smith at G, if at all, but one thing to keep in mind is that he is eligible for an extension after this year. Would they want to move him back out to T and make him a $30M per year guy or keep him at G as a $20M per year guy? I may be looking waaay too much into the money piece of it, but I have a feeling Asim Richards or someone else down the depth chart would get first crack at taking over LT. Truly anyones guess though.
I think you are right. If they leave Smith at LG, then you have a rookie C with probowl/all pro level guards on both sides of him. If you move Smith out to LT, then you have a lot on inexperience on the left and center of the OL. I would want to keep it strong up the middle. Use Richards or whoever at LT if Guyton struggles, with the understanding that he will need plenty of TE help.

To me, it boils down to coming to terms with having him learn and be the swing tackle as a first rd olinemen pick.

Tyler Smith should be the left tackle this year imo.
Gonna ruin the Cowboy track record of 1st rd o-linemen success if we throw Guyton to the wolves too early this year.
His lack of experience as a college LT player combined with some possible maturity issues is not a good mix to be staring down the AFC North and NFC East d-lines this year.

Additionally, not sure how well he'll react to getting dominated on a daily basis for all of camp by Micah.
Remember how Micah made Tyron look last year in camp?

Yeah, not sure the kid is mentally up for that kinda challenge but we'll see if the iron sharpens iron theory works that's for sure.

Skeptical, but fingers crossed just the same.

Gonna say it right now....Guyton will never make it @ left tackle. We drafted a right tackle that's gonna struggle with the conversion.
Shhhh. We need to continue selling thus fantasy that we did not spend a first round pick on a project
