Most of our runs are that 1 draw play, really wish we'd dig a little deeper in the playbook for some rushing plays but as long as we're winning i'm not that bothered

The Eagles D is pretty good....oh yah, and how did we fare running the ball on that last drive?

I agree, when we win, then it doesn't matter. But we have to be concerned that we can't consistenly run the ball for 4/5 yard chunks with our oline and rbs. This is the type of stuff that bites you in the *** in December and January.

We averaged 3.3 yards per rush, versus 7.4 yards per pass with Romo throwing the ball to seven different receivers at a 61% clip. Having a balanced offense does not mean running and passing the ball exactly 50:50. It means we can beat you both ways (and using what is working at the time). If they are playing the pass, then run, and vice versa.

If our offense was putting up the numbers everyone wanted each week, Barber, Choice and Jones would each be on pace for 1,500 yard seasons, Witten and Barber would have 800-1,000 yards each, Miles Austin, Roy Williams and Patrick Crayton would have 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns each, and Tony Romo would hold all of the Cowboys career passing records by week 13.

I agree, I'm not pleased with the ground game at all... This offense needs to committ to running the ball better, they'll need it come December and January.

I just wish we could learn to draw up/execute some plays underneath. It's been philadelphia's bread and butter for years and they've never had half the backfield that we currently do. Hell, we hardly if ever run a basic screen play.

Felix Jones could be dangerous underneath.

...do alot of run blitzing. It's like the proverbial 8 or 9 men in the box.

Tough to run against that type of defence and tough to pass because there is so much pressure.

Good patient game by the Cowboys.

You beat that with screens and RBs out in wheel routes.

One thing I can say for the Eagles...that is one quick defence. It's a quality unit.

I love to see us able to run the ball better. I believe starting Choice would be better for the team and let MB III close the game and play third downs. Choice and Jones, esp. in the 1st two quarters would have more burst in the hole and at least get a few yards. MBIII get started late and the hole closes quickly. No gain or neg yardage.

We need to do better in the run game. I want us to be able to dictate to the D then other way around. I would love the mentality of "we are running and you can't stop us"!

You're not going to run for 200 yards every game. The Eagles are a solid defensive team. We were on their house. You're not gonna run all over them. The running game wasn't great but it made plays when we needed them to. That's what matters. Screw stats. You don't win games from stats. I come away from this game feeling like when we needed a big run we got it. When we needed a big throw we got it. When we needed a stop we got it. Thats a great game IMO.

I don't care about total yards. We were very effective running when we needed to be. The Closer took it to them. They weren't stopping us then, but that stupid penalty almost hurt us.

Didnt this team just beat the Eagles and are in first place. Teams game plan to stop the run and the did and Romo Threw for 300 plus yards so who cares. its a win.

Teams still think that if they stop the run, we can't beat them with the pass.........they are learning the hard way that is not the case.

Once they start respecting our passing game, our running will come around.
