They were able to run out the clock with the ball on the ground when the Eagles had no choice but to stop us. With the exception of the pass to Witten to get a first down, we rammed the ball down their collective throats.

Too many times with the game on the line and an opportunity to run out the clock, we get stopped. Last night was a lesson in how it's done.

That says enough for me.

I'm beginning to think Felix hasn't got the speed or shiftiness he had before the injury, as he really hasn't done much with his opportunities. I really thought the Cowboys could run on the Eagles, but they were pretty much shut down until the last drive.

I do think he has the speed, just philly had a better defense, they were blitzing it seemed like every play. They have fast linebackers

with three very good running backs (I'm not counting romo's three kneel downs)...

Discuss

Philly played the run well. As far as I was concerned these were 2 heavy weights going toe to toe with each other and Dallas did what they needed to do to win the game.

NFC East

1. Cowboys...6-2
2. Eagles...5-3
3. Giants...5-4
4. Commanders...2-6

Disgust...that this doesn't do it for some people.

Gravy on the top. Fine with me.

Felix is looking like he doesnt have that cut speed hes had previously ..im wondering if he is 100%

At the midway point of an NFL season prolly not too many players are 100%. He just needs to be effective. There's still time for him to have a break out.

Most of our runs are that 1 draw play, really wish we'd dig a little deeper in the playbook for some rushing plays but as long as we're winning i'm not that bothered

Like the wildcat?

Honestly we need to run a little more consistently and I really wish we used Jones earlier. I like the idea of having the opposing D run around trying to catch him and then ram it down their throat when they are tired with MB.

Philly has a decent run defense giving up an avg of 99/game. Only 73 yards, but few were more important than Barber's final 3 carries and 23 yards. They picked up a first down and set up the 3rd and short.

The way Philly was blitzing on almost every down, getting the run game going was VERY difficult.

I agree, Felix is compromised - so is Barber IMO, but it's just plain tough to run against the Eagles blitz packages, it's amazing how well they have cobbled that defense together.

I like the Wildcat - mostly it's fun to see Romo try to sell his receiver option when he splits right.

IMO, that was one of our biggest victories over the past three years.
but that doesn't mean we can't discuss areas where we had problems during the game. I'm sure that the coaching staff is discussing the running game issues as well. We do play these guys again and it would be nice to figure out how to get our backs a little more productivity via screens as others have discussed.

It's time to start discussing the game. I'm sure the coaching staff is looking at all the problems. The running game might have been a little better last night but not a lot. You aren't going to run on a team that blitzes that much. It's always going to be feast and famine against that.

with a little over 4 min left in the game the running game was good enough to seal Philly fate. Every one knew Dallas was going to run it to kill the clock and Philly was unable to stop it.
