...On a slow day, as we wait to see Romo start tonight, I thought I would provide this link to a University of Michigan fan's Blog site which has several clips of the 2001 Citrus Bowl --Michigan vs. Auburn-- which was Henson's last game at Michigan. There are numerous clips of Henson throwing the ball.

I found it interesting that the guy had this to say about Henson, (which explains why so many Cowboy fans have had an interest in him and have pulled for him)..."This was a beautiful, frustrating but altogether fun game to watch and I think anyone watching the highlights, even sans the lowlights, will remember all the reasons why.And regardless of what some critics say now, I still think that for 8.5 games in 2000 Drew Henson played about as well as any QB I have ever seen play at Michigan."

There has been a lot of talk on this board about how Henson's delivery has changed since his Michigan days and what happened to make him go from a guy the Cowboy's scout said was "Troy Aikman clone", to a guy that, (the past couple of years), has thrown the football more like a "Troy Glaus" clone.

I didn't see Henson play a lot in college so I was glad to find some old video of him back at Michigan.

Take a look for yourselves, if interested. When you click on the links on the page, it might take some time to download each clip. The best thing to do is right click and save the target, so you can see how long it is taking to download. Then once it's downloaded you can run the clip.

Does it really matter what Henson looked like at Michigan?

Being away from the game might have given him all kinds of bad habits that might not be correctable.

I'd much rather look at footage of him as a Cowboy and NFL Europe than look back at his college exploits and believe that it has much relevance to the player we have right now.

Yawn.... this was what, 6 football seasons ago? Pretty soon Henson, Anthony Thomas and David Terrell will all be working at the same McDonalds.

It is a nice gesture, though, if people really want to see Henson.

I never saw him in Michigan - maybe this gives a glimpse of what he could be. Not that I'm actually going to download them, but I appreciate the gesture.

I don't have an agenda as far as Henson is concerned.

I just don't believe in torturing yourself by watching him in his heyday, before baseball.

Believe what you want, but we have indeed spent a considerable amount of energy trying to break habits of his. If anyone thinks we haven't, they are really kidding themselves.

Sure it is a nice gesture, but not all that relevant. Watch a few of those clips and compare it to what we have seen thus far. It's like it is a different player. It does make you wonder what he would have been like had he chose a different route. But if that was the case, he would have never been a Dallas Cowboy either.

Don't watch it if you don't want to. You're a free American. Others may want to see it on a slow day.

After all, he is still on the roster, despite what a lot of you said was going to happen to him. :D

Nice clips. To me his throwing motion looks just like what he is doing now. I still believe the only thing standing between Henson and being a starting NFL QB is just playing time. I truly believe that. But, we won't know until either Parcells judges him ready for some of that here, Parcells moves on, or Henson moves on.

Andre Ware put up unheard of numbers at Houston, won the Heisman, and was considered the best QB prospect EVER by some scouts. How'd that turn out?

Not too good. Apparently Cutler put up some pretty good numbers in his FIRST pre-season game, but that didn't stop you from starting an entire thread about it.

I wasn't one of the people floating about who said he was going to be cut either.

You don't get it. HH played the "Andre Ware" card.

There is no retort.

You shouldn't have even tried.

You're right, there isnt, nor should there be

Putting on a show in college rarely equates to a great NFL QB
