What's strange is, all you heard about Wright before the draft was that he had the one incident in college as a freshman, but he transferred to UNLV and hadn't had one ounce of trouble in the three years since. So everyone was claiming that he was just a kid who made one mistake, learned from it, and was actually okay.

But too many pundits said he was the second most (or most) talented corner in the draft, and for him to not go until the middle of the second... I have to think teams found that there was more there than we fans ever heard about.

It could be, C'Lab. Perhaps we'll never know. I also wonder if some teams were extra careful because of the talk about the NFL's additional emphasis on penalizing off-field misbehavior.

During the draft I recall hearing someone high up in the Browns' organization say that the Browns had hired some especially skilled people (former FBI / CIA types) to conduct a supplemental investigation on Wright and that the Browns were satisfied with the results.

Time will tell, of course.

And again, without being able to review all of the various information regarding Wright, I don't know if I'd have drafted him.

Wright just wasn't on their board, that was his fault not the Cowboys. Marcus McCauley(Vikings) and Jonathan Wade(Rams) were available when James Marten was drafted, if your going to second guess those might be the ones. I don't know how those guys have been in preseason.

This is a flat out lie

You have been talking about replacing Henry ..... not getting someone to replace TNew.

I am right.

You are wrong.

About what exactly ?

You said that........

Henson is our future QB
Romo will never make it as a QB
Henry will not be back next year
Norv Turner is our next Coach
A. Glenn will not be back next year
We are going CB with our first round pick
Stanback is to slow to be a WR
Stanback will be cut

What have you been right about? Did you predict Newman would get hurt?

You are nothing but the new Nors/"Brother" twins .....

You are a joke ..... and everyone on this forum knows it.

Since you don't like to hear what I have to say...listen to Coach Wade'

"We played a lot of corners to see who would do something and we didn't see anything," Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said.

"We had problems at corner tonight," Phillips said following the Cowboys' 28-16 loss to the Texans. "We didn't get much help. We played a lot of corners to see who would do something but from on the field, I didn't see anyone make many plays. It looked like they all had a chance to make some plays but we didn't get any."

Here we go again...

If we didn't sign Davis, our run blocking would have gaping holes.

If we didn't draft Free and Marten, we would likely be playing with 2 scrub OTs in '08(with Romo running for his life, of course)

If we didn't draft Folk, we would have kicking issues worse now than in '05-if you recall BTW, our kicking game costed us the NFCE Title, NOT Flo's injury.

If we didn't draft Stanbach, we could have WR problems in the near future.

If we didn't draft Spencer, not only would we be thin at LB, but he would be a stud with the Birds by now.

Dude-Yes, it pains me that we'll be having secondary problems, majorly, with or without TNew. But please be informed that we had HOLES pretty much EVERYWHERE on this team.

Give it a rest man-even if we did fix our secondary, you would be ******** and whining how we didn't fix this and that, and you know it.

And once again you are trying to pass off what he said as a strike against Henry or Glenn ....

He has stated time and time again that he was talking about after his top 3 guys .....

Are you too stupid to understand that? What the heck is wrong with you?
