Maybe your reading comprehension is bad.

Like I said, keep hanging on hyperbole.

How about this:

I particularly like this one, the page before:

Generally speaking, the idea is to quote things that actually help your argument. What you've quoted here is incomprehensible and only barely related to what we were talking about regarding the fact that turnovers do affect the outcomes of games and that no Garrett supporter ever suggested otherwise.

Imagine if we weren't 23rd in the league in scoring off of TOs that our defense provided us with.

Cowboys would have made the playoffs in the weakest division in the NFL. The defense wasn't as bad as people make it out to be.

And this theory is based on...

8th in creating turnovers, 26th in points allowed. Far from the worst defense in the league... and far from the worst defense ever. Now that's ridiculous We going to blame the defense for you know who not capitalizing on all these turnovers?

So you're blaming the offense for the win/loss record in 2013 because they didn't score on a high percentage of the series following turnovers?

The offense was 5th in point scored. I find it really hard to blame them.

I would expect this offense to be 5th in points scored considering the amount of turnovers our defense created

Yes, but you just said that they didn't score much off of turnovers.

. The guy being the paid the big bucks on offense should be blamed for not capitalizing on all these turnovers. If you gave the ball to Aaron Rodgers, you know damn well he is going to capitalize and score. I bought into this propaganda this forum was feeding everyone. How the 2013 defense was one of the worst of all time. Then I looked at the stats. 8th in turnovers, 26th in points allowed. Sounds like an average defense to me.

I was the one that posted those stats several days ago.

They were 5th in points scored. I don't care how it happened or what they did after turnovers, 5th is 5th. Points scored is the bottom line.

Not only was the offense 5th in points scored, but they were only 0.4 points per game behind the 2nd place team.

Dallas was not 8th in turnovers, they were 13th with Chicago.

Here's a basic table sorted by turnovers right next to points forced.

I think this shows the unrealistic expectations we as fans sometimes have. There were times in games last year where the offense was frustrating because it couldn't get anything going. But then you look at the numbers and realize there were times last year when other teams' offenses couldn't get things going, either, and based on scoring it happened to a lot of other teams more than it happened to Dallas.

Now, there's room for improvement, but we shouldn't hold Dallas to standards no other team can meet.

30 Dallas Cowboys vs pass
27 Dallas Cowboys vs Run
26th in points allowed
Comparing them to the 8-7-1 Packers? NFC East sucks well 8-7-1 took that division in the meantime there is a debate that our defense was not that bad? Wow!!!! We had game where the opposing teams punter never set foot on the field except for warm-ups. This was not avg defense this was a horrible defense. People can blame whom ever they want but the fact is this defense was a franchise worst defense

Offense ranked 4th in points per drive. That's even AFTER you filter out all teams' drives that began after an opponent's turnover.

If only stats told the whole story, Dallas being ranked 4th in points per drive would be the end of the conversation, but we both know there is a lot more to it than that. To paint the picture that the offense was amazing and it was only the defense that killed us simply isn't true. The defense did suck but the offense/playcalling wasn't special either.

I don't think he is just blaming the offense and ignoring the defense. I think he is saying the offense wasn't without it's faults either. I agree with him on that. The defense was horrifically bad and partly because of that crap scheme they ran but they offense wasn't amazing or anything.

People are emotionally attached to their own perceptions. The offense was not what they wanted; therefore it must be at fault despite rankings.

People wanted the Denver regular season offense, but those are historically rare.

I'm going to guess that the people that keep complaining about the offense have been Romo or Garrett haters in their posting history.
