What a joke. Bet this was part of the contract when Benson conveniently bought the team.

Stern needs to step down already. League is corrupt from the bottom up

On another note, amazing how the West has been so much better than the East for years now. And after tonight, Davis and probably Deron Williams will be added, too.

Plus Portland keeping their pick. Nets fans must be absolutely sick.

the one positive thing about the draft lottery results, the tanking teams didnt get rewarded (with the exception of the warriors). But at least the hornets played hard until the last game of the year! so i think in a way they deserved it, good karma.

unless, you know, they knew they were gonna win it so they didnt tank :D

Lol the Hornets were tanking hard. Watch the ending of the last Lakers/Hornets game.

i also saw them beat the grizzle twice at the end of the year! if they were tanking they would have lost by 20, not blown a game late.

Well tonight pretty much confirms Dwight will be traded to the Lakers. Nets don't have a top 3 pick and therefore don't have anything to entice Orlando to trade with them. Hate Howard, but I'll guess I have to learn to like him.

How does it work?

Is it like Powerball where the balls tumble and one gets vacuumed up to the top?

Or is it just, "we open the card that we promise is the true result"?

the latter. they show the machines with the balls but its so much crap, there are no more than 50 or 60 balls in those machines, yet there are teams with less than 1 percent chance of winning the lottery? how does that work? there is a ball painted half rockets red and the other half bucks green? if it was so legit, they would show the entire process on film

Whatever. Thomas Robinson will be better than Anthony Davis. Jordan better draft him at 2.

A lot of mocks have Kidd-Gilchrist and Andre Drummond over Robinson. I can see the Bobcats falling for what a lot of people think. I think Robinson is arguably the best player in the draft. It really comes down to this; Do you want Davis's defense and shot blocking? Or Robinsons multi tooled offensive game?

Robinson is no scrub on defense though that's for sure, and same goes for Davis on offense. But Robinson can knock down the three, post up, and face up. I really like his game. I think he will be a much better weapon on offense than Davis and to me that gives him the edge.

Davis is very raw on offense. I think he'll be a Dwight Howard type. Limited on offense, but one of the best rebounders/defenders in the league. I see 21-13 as his ceiling.
