Pacers are very good. They beat them without Bosh and Haslem. The refs heavily favored them also. Never underestimate the power of money. If you actually think SA or OKC will put a "beat down " on the cHeat u are sadly mistaken. Wade and Bron Bron will live at the line with both teams.

Then why didn't they win last year?

I disagree man...people love the Spurs.

But you're right about the Mavericks not being marketable. I just can't buy the stuff about games being totally fixed. Players still have to make shots.

the NBA is an extremely hard game to ref, its kind of like the trenches in football, something is ALWAYS going on there thats not legal. The refs just seem to start calling the stuff on one team and not the other sometimes, and its usually to the league's advantage, to extend a series, get a larger market to advance, get back at cuban, etc

the spurs beat the pacers down by like 20 points in the regular season, im really not that concerned with the heat, specially without bosh. im more concerned of the league trying to get the thunder in, that is a close enough series where the refs could make the difference

The game of basketball would be better without David Stern running the league.

Him, Goodell, and Selig. All three need to go.

I've worked with Stern a few times... he's a leach... tiny little guy actually...

He is brilliant marketing-wise... but we need other teams to have a chance... he is all about big market teams...

The salary structure is a joke... it HEAVILY favors the Lakers and other teams...

People where? on here maybe. Around the USA the Spurs arent a marketable team. I havent seen a Spurs jersey in the whole east coast nor west coast in the last 5 years. And I have been in many ,many sports style stores.Champs,*****,etc... After the Mavs won last year I rarely saw a Nowitzki in NYC ,Philly or Pittsburgh.Watch espn next few days. It will be all Heat.

I just really can't stand Westbrook and Harden. So I want OKC to lose.

Love KD35, but I cannot. stand. those other two guys. Both of them remind me of Gilbert Arenas.

because once the finals start there is no advantage to the league favoring a team except to extend a series. at least you usually see a lot of "make up" calls the next game. the finals are usually well called, thats why i have no idea why juck is putting so much money on the heat to win it all, bad investment. the only reason the 06 finals were so horribly called was because stern hates cuban

You watched the 2006 finals right? U think Stern can let the same thing happens again? It had to be called fairly. 2006 was completely fixed.

I know we talked about that over PMs before...he needs to go away.

And you're right - the salary system is a complete joke. That's why I can't believe people are worried about the Lakers being over the cap, as if they won't figure out a way to keep them good.

:lmao2:

westbrook reminds me of starbury sometimes! im a UT fan so i LOVE KD, and i just like harden because he reminds me of ginobili, but i can see why people would hate ginobili, and in turn harden. No reason for ANYONE to hate KD tho.

There was a time when any team could win it all... Stern made sure that was never possible again...

2006 I saw a big, soft 7-footer get owned in the post along with a bunch of other nobodies like Keith Van Horn, lol.

No matter what people say, that Mavericks team was not good in '06.

I don't like Harden's attitude. But it won't matter because he's bolting for big money as soon as he can.

Westbrook does remind me of Marbury, but Westbrook plays defense. Marbury is allergic to defense. I still remember heckling the **** out of him and Steve Francis at MSG about not playing defense.

I'll say this if the Heat advance to the Finals they better pray San Antonio loses to OKC because there is no way in hell they can beat the Spurs. SA has the firepower with Duncan, Parker, and Ginobli to match James Wade and their depth is insane. This is probably the deepest Spurs team in the Duncan/Pop era. Wouldn't be shocked if SA swept LeBron again.

i dont know where you are going, but when they were winning titles in the mid 2000's id see duncan and ginobili jerseys EVERYWHERE in jersey when i visited my mom, in fact i got my duncan (and romo) jerseys in a footlocker in willowbrook, NJ

and when id go to cali to visit my wife's parents, id see ESEs wearing the duncan jersey or a spurs Tshirt! might have been because of gang colors, but they could have gone with the raiders, instead they rocked the TD 21 black jersey!

also, the spurs are HUGE in argentina (population 41 million) and are well liked in most of europe (mostly france and ....*gasp* eastern europe...CIA POP!)

In the last 5 years. The NBA has changed a lot. Stern is no dummy.
