A)every single spur not named Danny green played like crap and shot worse than they most likely will all series
B)kawhi Leonard has proven he can at least hang defensively with lebron
C)we got the split we wanted, this series is quite there for the spurs to win.

So put your lotion and tissues away

Kawhi hasn't been great offensively, but he is becoming a defensive star before our eyes. There's only so much you can do against Lebron, and he can still dominate a game without scoring -- but I've never seen someone guard him so well. He's so long and quick that he just makes it tough for Lebron to get in the lane like he is used to.

The loss was ugly, obviously, but to your point, the Spurs probably won't play that poorly again. It wasn't just missed shots, but it was careless mistakes and dumb mistakes, which are fixable. The aggression wasn't there, and they almost played like they only planned on splitting in Miami, and they conceded a loss in G2.

I expect a different team on Tuesday.

Not being an NBA fan, or a follower other than from a distance, what is it about Lebron that people don't like?

I like him.

He gave up on Cleveland in game 6 against the Celtics, when the rumors of Dante sleeping with his mom became public. He then followed this poor showing with "The Decision". Then him and Wade mocked Dirk for "faking a flu" in the first NBA finals. Now, his incessant whining over non-calls and clear flopping.

Plus, he clearly juices... I actually think both Wade, his dirty play in particular, and his 'aggressive' attitude and whining is sparked by the 'juice'.

I agree wholeheartedly... That game was actually won by Chalmers and Lebron's 'great' game happened when the Heat had already taken a 15 point lead. The Spurs couldn't hit the broad-side of the barn and Tim Duncan was like 3 for 13 in the first half, missing wide-open shots, shooting directly at the front of the rim. The guy normally doesn't have any arc to his J, but Sunday it was particularly awful. Plus, the refs didn't give any fouls to Parker, despite drawing plenty of contact on his drives. People act like not going to the free throw line is no biggy, but it actually sets the pace for Miami, who excel at a fanatic pace. The Heat can't beat the Spurs in the half-court set.

Why do you like him if you aren't an nba fan or don't follow it?

What about him?

I suppose I really don't have a strong argument for him, I just like him when I watch him, on and off the court.

Like I said, I follow from a distance because my son lives in another state and he follows the NBA, .. so that just gives us something else to talk and text about.

Guys like him do not come along very often. He is doing things that are being compared to MJ, Bird, Kobe, Magic.

I enjoy excellence, I enjoy watching the very best, ... players and teams.

I have coached for over 25 years, I know how hard competition is. It is not easy to get to, or stay atop your sport for very long. He and his team are doing quite well.

He does it all, he is a stud, he is a star.

Very seldom does anybody stop him, he either makes the shot or misses it, nobody can stop him very often.

I just appreciate what we are seeing. I think some are jealous of his ability and his success.

In interviews he is very humble, give credit to his teammates, etc.

He is marrying his high-school sweetheart this year. That is impressive in this day and age, especially with the money and opportunities that he has. That means a lot to me.

On another note, I don't hold it against anyone that wants out of Cleveland OH. LOL! :D

Le is the best player in the NBA and likely the world. Yeah he had the choker label before but that is gone.

He will never be loved by all but he should be respected for his play on the court.

He's gonna need to step up his play on the court if they want to win this championship. 3 games into the finals and he has yet to score 20 points in a game.

You make some fair points, but humble in interviews?

I guess maybe when he's not calling reporters ******** or making fun of other NBA players in front of the cameras or creating prime time, hour long BSPN specials to make a supreme spectacle of a simple decision, etc, etc..

imagine how tough it will be for the Heat if Bonner can find his stroke from beyond the arc...

Great teams are able to neutralize Lebron. I can't think of any other supposed Top-Ten all time player in their prime that you could say that about.

The Pistons were able to neutrilize Jordan, of course they used a very physical, dirty style that would cause their entire team to be fouled out and suspended by halftime in today's game.

Lebron blocks splitter's shot, greak block....but instead of posing for 10 seconds trying to have all eyes on him like the narcissist he is, run down on offense immediately and help out your team. Sure he finally made it down and set the screen that led to the basket, but there was no need for the narcissism in the middle of the action.

It actually reminded me of the time when Stoudamire got fouled and did pushups before his FTs. He missed the FTs and the Spurs eventually won the game.
