I am really encouraged by recent drafts even this one. The draft list someone put up for the last two years looked pretty good to me.

Me too. Hope this one turns out as well as the last few.

I realize that fans outside of Dallas don't realize how good Hatcher is as a pass rusher, heck most fans of Dallas don't realize how good he is but if you asked the teams that went DT in the first round if they'd be happy if their pick turned out as good as Hatcher, they'd say yes.

Of course if Ware is injured this DL becomes a weakness but take probably the best pass rusher in the NFL off of any DL and it significantly weakens it.

I would have liked a quality DL to fall into Dallas' lap but there was no DL value where Dallas was picking. People keep pointing to Floyd but in 3 years people won't admit they were in favor of him. He has every indicator of becoming another 1st round DT bust.

As far as Ratliff, I still have hope and I think you are underestimating how much the change in DL philosophy is going to have on him.

The DL is stronger than the LBs right now as we don't know who'll be the 3rd or if Lee and Carter can stay healthy. Plus none of the LBs are effective blitzers. It's also much, much stronger than the secondary due to the question marks at S.

Ratliff ha been a declining player for three years...Floyd was number 7 one cowboys draft board, Minny is laughing at the cowboys for letting him slide to them, and they run a tampa 2 defense... Floyd's a disruptive player, he's Russell Maryland with more ability,..this nonsense about sacks is ridiculous, Leon Lett never had more than four sacks in a season but he was disruptive in the middle, tackles for loss, getting the QB off his spot or forcing him to throw early, running backs forced to stop and change direction, that alone that's been missing in dallas since Glover left...

RBs are so hard to project but he's a decent receiver. He really needs to improve on his blitz pickup if he wants to see any playing time.

I said it in the 4th that I was getting prepared for RB in the 5th. OK, Jerry. You got your RB out of the way. Now PLEASE go O-Line in the 6th. Pretty please? With a cherry on top?

Yawn, totally underwhelming......we let Jones go to replace him with a less talented slower back, stupid.

Randle has been a productive back in an explosive offense. Good runner, though I believe that as a RB, Andre Ellington represented better value. That being said, I still would have looked to the lines for a solution here.

What I would have done - OT Xavier Nixon - Florida
