Man U has spent a zillion dollars and will hope that translates to getting into the top 4 and UCL play.

Liverpool looked bad again. They are struggling.

Looking forward to tomorrow mornings big match between Chelsea and Man City.

Good game with ManC.
Hated the way it was officiated and said 10 mins in the ref would have to start carding people because he refused to call anything a foul for the first 10 minutes.
So, as you expect, the fouls ratcheted up and he was calling regular fouls yellows trying to get control of the match that City started thugging up.

I do believe that was the best 2 EPL sides. The MC back line is phenomenal. I am a huge fan of Kompany and Mangala looks to be right there.

and yes I still love Lampard but his moving on was for the best for himself and the club.
we didn't need him Garrarding us all year. --see LP.

Quite happy to be top of table and 3 points clear at this point.

Going into the game Chelsea would have been pleased getting a point on the road. They have to be a little disappointed in how it ended up because City was down a player and they just couldn't put them away to earn max points. These two teams should be fighting for the title all season.

In a road game with a 5 point lead it was just desired (by Mourinho) to get a draw really.
Lampard scoring late is actually bittersweet.

MC desperately needed a result and to their credit they played like it.

I don't think the title chase will be real close just to be honest.
I am more focused on the UCL.

poor United, blowing a 2-0 lead to leicester city

And being up 3-1 at one point. Their defense is worse than last season. Last year they had the excuse of age and injuries on the back end. Now they just aren't any good.

sometimes as a coach you need a year to fully evaluate the team and add pieces.
united tried to buy all these pieces and then make it work year 1; and it has failed two seasons in a row.

the coaching can;t be bad based upon previous results so it is player mix.
and under FFP that could take a good while to fix.

Also, the longer they fail to qualify for Champions League the longer it is going to take to fix. That extra financial influx from playing in Champions League can help a team buy talent and the good players want to be on teams that play in CL.

I think it's obvious that Ethnic minorities are under represented in Football Management, and maybe the Rooney Rule (or something similar) would help.

We keep seeing high profile black ex-players bemoaning (and rightly so) the lack of black managers, the problem is how many of them have bothered to get their coaching badges & apply for managerial positions.

However, it's not just black managers that are under represented in the Premier League, but English managers too.
There are just 7 out of the 20 teams, and none of those are at the top teams, in fact most are at clubs that have been promoted in the last couple of seasons.

Another good week for Chelsea.

That Costa goal was a gem. Such a great pass from Fabregas and then a deft finish.

John Barnes and Paul Ince are bad for it. Both moaning about how they haven't had the opportunities that they feel they would have had if they were white. Ince has failed in a couple of high profile jobs and as a Celtic fan I can definitely see why no-one else has given Barnes a shot. There is no doubt that there is a lack of black managers proportionately to players but it's probably worth pointing out that most of your top managers just now are guys who were playing when black players were much less common than they are now. Either way I don't think that guys like Barnes and Ince who have been given opportunities and haven't taken them are the guys to be highlighting the lack of opportunities for black managers.

Ya they lost momentum early on. Overall it was a good game. Suarez looked good to.

That's just too many guys who need the ball on the pitch together.

Playing Inesta as some type of holding midfielder is a joke.

Naymar, Messi, Suarez at once? good grief its fantasy football.
