What do you feel are our main needs next offseason besides owner, gm, coaching?

I say resigning Hatcher is important but I would not overpay due to his age. I would look to giving him a 3-4 year deal at around $5 million a season.
If resigned I say our needs in this order are DE, OG, RB, DT, S
If not resigned I say DE, DT, OG, RB, S

I would invest a mid-late round pick in a good run blocking FB because we lack big time in the running game without a lead blocker especially in short yardage situations.
I think we need to go RB early in the draft and I wouldn't mind getting bishop Sankey

Holy time travel...

Isn't this only Week 9 of the 2013 season? Did I miss something..?

geeeze.

Things aren't nearly as bad this year without the injuries.

The problem is that you MUST hit on a couple draft picks this year in the trenches b/c nobody can be signed.

Understood.

But overstocking re. trenches is not a bad thing.

A few years back the giants went heavy in consecutive years on defense and it paid off vs pats in first Super Bowl.

Yea, I dont think its necessarily a bad idea, but I didnt think the need for drafting OL/DL this year was as urgent as some others.

For instance, I still like the Esco pick over Warford, even though Warford is playing well.

With the cap numbers the way they are, I let Hatcher walk unless he gives us a nice home team discount.

I would make priority number 1 finding a DT & OG. A mid round corner will be on that list if MO doesn't improve.

At least we do get Crawford and Bass back next season.

Biggest question in my mind is whether the Cowboys chose to sign Hatcher to the $10m contract someone else is going to be willing to pay him. He is on pace for 16 sacks which is an absolutely incredible number for a DT.

Does the club eschew the conventional wisdom that you don't put that much money into a player who will be 32 next season?

No let him go

We need to acquire draft picks via trades and re-stock.

Order of importance:

DL-- This is where championships are built. Defensive lines are slightly more important than offensive lines because they don't have to rely on skill players on the edges or a QB to play well... they can take over the game pretty much on their own.

OL-- Still pretty important though

RB-- find a durable guy that can run between the tackles and can pass protect. They're a dime a dozen.

There isn't much else to look forward to, is there? Only one victory, that over the Rams, outside the NFC East.
