Steve Nash hires as a consultant for Golden State....

"I look forward to joining Coach [Steve] Kerr and his great staff and helping out in any way that I can," said Nash in a statement. "The Warriors played such a beautiful style of team basketball last season and it’s a style that I am very familiar with and enjoyed playing throughout my career.

Tristen Thompson still isn't signed.... Cavs offered him 80mil over 5.... he wants 94....
with Love in the fold... he's not worth it... I let him sign his tender and seek a contract next year.
how would that go over with Lebron, who has the same agent (he basically reps Tristen, lol).... Who knows...

Stephen A is a clown. Unless the Lakers have a great season and make the playoffs I don't see him going there. It'll be the same as the Aldridge situation. He'll wanna go to the team that gives him the best shot at winning not the biggest market.

If KD leaves Oklahoma City my bet would be him taking his talents to South Beach. Miami looks like a team that could potentially be Cleveland's biggest threat in the East. They got the steal of the draft in Winslow. Whiteside had a breakout season. Re-signed Dragic. Wade had a bit of a resurgence last season. If Bosh can get back healthy the Heat could be dangerous.

The issue with the Lakers is while they have some solid young talent with the likes or Russell, Randle, Clarkson, etc. they're so young and likely at least 2-3 years from developing. Durant nor any star player is gonna wanna wait around for these kids to mature.

Hoping for a better, injury somewhat free, season for the Heat.

Know Wade will miss some time, hopefully guys like Bosh and McRoberts can stay healthy

I really believe they could challenge Cleveland if they can manage to stay healthy.

yup, almost time!!
love this time of year.

various thoughts:
GSW/CLE still favorites.
LAC looks good but seems to have just enough dysfunction to keep them out of it in the West.
SAS has enough to ascend but all those aging bodies are hard to keep healthy.
DWill will do well in Dallas IMHO. Lifestyle fit here is excellent. Still a 6-8 seed type team but one ran/coached well.

KD is either going home to DC or staying in OKC but my guess is staying after another MVP season. OKC is my sleeper pick but then again I've had them for a few years now. KD is well rested and been through so much 1 v1 training on his skill it is hard to compare.
Billy Donovan is a lot better coach then OKC has had. He loves athletes and OKC is built upon them.
I bet he gives Harden/Steph/LeBron their toughest games.

This year OKC/GSW will be my non-Mav go to games to watch.

They might finish solid in the East and easily make the playoffs but they aren't in CLE's class, not even in that universe.
They would be a 35-40 win team in the West imho.
Goran and Wade are really the same guy. They are both ball dominant scorers. Not really a good fit there imho.
They have do have some interesting pieces but the elite teams are all so well built and dominant it's going to be hard to crack that top 10 teams.

The defense has really fallen way off and I don't think that changes. Too many key defenders are older.
