oh well, some would turn us backwards in a second. I think the better we get at drafting and the players we currently have, i think our changing of the guard should come from the draft with possibly 1 or 2 payers in FA< none of which should ever be a RB. The position has lost shelf life. and if our Oline stays at the top, our need for special runners is not as needed as other teams. So i would not seek a RB. (keep in mind our secret sauce Lance (the legend) Dunbar, and lets concentrate on what this team needs. A better FS if there is one in the draft, and at least another good CB. I think in naother years time our Dl wil be more equipped to go after the QB, but i leave that in Rods hands now.

To be honest, im still irked Terrence Williams and Esobar are not used nearly enough, Thats not to say i dont mind what Murray is doing, but again, I think Witten should be moved back to stay fresher and i think Romo or hopefully the new qb, will be able to spread the ball around a lot more.

Please Please Please. I hope we can get Gurley.

Gurley will go in rd 1
AP wants to be here and IMO can be had for a reasonable price for a 2-3 year deal
We need to spend our draft resources on DL, OL , LB, safety etc

Exactly the kind of thinking that got us in trouble in the late 90's early 2000's and look how good those last 15 years have been.
I agree with you about not giving Murray a huge deal...

But I completely HATE this argument. The cap trouble in the 90s came from contracts that were given out BEFORE the salary cap was introduced. For instance...Aikman signed the largest contract in NFL history in 1993. Emmitt Smith's contract was the biggest among RBs at the time, also signed in 1993. The cap was introduced in 1994. Jerruh might have given too much to Deion, but the late 90s troubles were largely because of the introduction of the cap and the trouble that came from contracts signed before it.

Kyle Wilson can play Zone. He played at Boise, which as we all know, is a Zone Scheme primarily. The problem with Wilson is that he's not a great fit for one of your two starting outside CBs. He's a pretty good slot CB so if that's what you want him to do, then he's probably a nice fit. However, if you want him to be an outside starting CB, he's not great there. We have OScan as our Slot CB so what do you do? Do you pay to bring in another Slot CB or do you look for a CB who can be a good outside Starter?

He is injured and I don't think he can play in 2015.

Considering that not many RBs go in the 1st anymore and the injury, it seems doubtful that Gurley will go in the first.

Maybe
Let's wait and see
If we are picking at 32 :) and don't sign Murray or AP then I would be ok with taking him
