A better one would be simple sorting per game averages for...anything. I have no interest in coming up with a better one but that system is so poor that there is 0 improvement from no system whatsoever to pff.

Of course it's an improvement over no system. Arbitrarily throwing opinions out as fact is not a system, it happens every day on this forum.

Basing your thoughts entirely on the ESPN stats page (sorting by averages, for example) is also a system. The problem is that it fails to consider even the most minimal amount of context.

Stats are, similarly to PFF, a data point. They are not the final word, and neither is PFF. People get too caught up in one data point and fail to consider that it only adds to the discussion.

signing bonus is part of the pay , it spends like the rest .

But if you count it all in one year that's skews the numbers. Under their thinking next year he would be drastically under paid. Average pay over the life of the contract is a much better look at reality though it also included years the player never gets

Yes in their perspective, he could be underpaid in future years.
Like I said, it is sort of bizarre outlook, and is just click bait as others have said.
