I have to ask , why is his name taco ???? Is that a given name or nick name and why?
I think it will get old hearing it after awhile unless he does real good.

His real name is Vidauntae "Taco" Charlton.... so its a nickname......I would rather call him taco also lol.

The patriots and seahawks both traded out of the 1st round for more picks later.
They were in the bottom like dallas.

Don't hate the pick. Should be a solid player.

Can't lie though. As much as I've said I didn't want players with injuries or problems I was hoping to see foster drafted @ 28 when I was scrolling down the picks! Lol

I'm 100% happy we got a guy with power and size...those little fast guys are trash. No thanks!

Besides you dont know how a player will develop right now. Stop hating the pick.

I'm always amused when people are worried about a dl 40 time.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Taco Charlton was happier this time. After not running as good a time as he wanted to in the 40-yard dash at the NFL combine, Charlton chose to run again Friday inside the Glick Field House at the University of Michigan.

He came away with a better time.

Charlton said he ran around “4.7 range, 4.80, 4.7 range, that was something that I definitely improved on and definitely wanted to do.” That’s much better than Charlton’s 4.92 run in Indianapolis. It should help the pass-rusher cement his place in the first round of April’s NFL draft.

So San Fran get's a player 3x better than ours 3 picks later.

Don't hate the pick. Should be a solid player.

Can't lie though. As much as I've said I didn't want players with injuries or problems I was hoping to see foster drafted @ 28 when I was scrolling down the picks! Lol

It's a lose lose situation. People want the flashy picks and that doesn't always pan out. We cry and complain when the FO takes a player that gets into trouble off the field or has issues coming into the draft...that's the exact player Foster is. I'm not saying he won't be good, but when were we not going to take a chance with a guy like that. I'm finally glad they didn't take someone with character issues, drug issues etc.

Watt is a 3-4 guy would've been a tough fit.

and i still think if his name was TJ Hoobastank no one would want him in the first round anyway. but lob some WATT out there and people associate and get after it.

I'm glad we got a 3-down guy instead of a one trick pony. With Lee and (probably) Smith at LB, it's also nice to have a DL who can keep them clean. As a group, we seem to have become fixated on getting a speed guy for the edge, but with the trend of substitution-denial run by the good offenses, it's nice to have guys who don't have a glaring weakness vs the run.

I really hate this logic...

Was the reason Ryan Russell was gonna be a stud.... was the reason Tapper is gonna be a stud...

Im beginning to realize that Marinelli is no Dline whisper as many think he is..

Russell was a day 3 pick.
Tapper had a bad back. Rod ain't no doctor/surgeon.

Tapper still can be something for the Cowboys.
Wouldn't shock me to see a line of
Tapper-Irving-Collins-Taco in the nickel/dime

I have spent months studying this draft. Watching film, reading reports and I thought I had it figured out. After Takk went to Atlanta, I told my wife it was down to King or Watt. Felt very confident about it. My wife checked out some website with a best remaining list and told me, "Nope. Its going to be Taco."
I then nicely explained to her that we were looking for a RDE with a good twitch or a large CB with #1 ability. "Nope. This Taco guy. Cool name." I then smiled and kinda shook my head. "Oh, honey."

$%^&*! I am going to be hearing about this for years.

You got yourself a keeper. Her Daddy raised her right. Funny story! :lmao:
