Well, you can't make everybody happy! LOL I think there were a few ways Dallas could have gone but we all know we need some pass rush. Here we have it!

I don't hate the pick. Definitely could've done worse. Like, you know, a TE haha (I know, we still have the 2nd round to go)

He improved his 40 time to 4.83 at his pro day. With a 1.63 10 yard split. Thats pretty impressive for a guy whos 6'6 277.
He already has a nice set of pass rush moves and converts speed to power. I think hes a little raw right now, but I can see him as our starting RDE day one. Especially if Lawerence isnt 100%.

If he can't unseat Lawrence and I mean soon than he's got real problems

I think we generally overvalue 40-yard times and devalue things like Charlton's length. Yet, we had a guy last year in David Irving that showed in spurts what could be done with that kind of size. Imagine if Charlton could provide consistently the same kind of production Irving provided sporadically.

Well you look at Irving and Charlton's numbers coming out, they are pretty similar actually, not that off from each other.

Two tall lean guys for Lett to train. Could turn out pretty good.

Man, I've got to push back pretty hard on that. We had a defensive tackle playing LDE last year because we didn't have any, and now we have half a dozen. I don't buy it for a second.

My only issue is you've got Foster and Cam Robinson still there. I understand they might need certain positions but there are spots open where these guys play too and we would likely get higher quality play imo than we get from Taco. I guess we'll see though.

I have a philosophical problem with paying a rotational player first-round money,
This is why to me the smart moves would have been to trade up and get a good solid starter, or trade out of rd1 and get a extra pick.

I think I would have tried to trade up and get adoree, howard, or a top rde.
It would be worth it to get a solid starter, rather than a guy who may or may not be good. and he has only 1 season of experience.
I think he may be a decent player, but probably not worth the money they have to pay him.
Watt is probably a 3-4 guy like they say, so wasnt a fit either.

I think sticking at 28 was the main mistake. Bottom of the barrel.
I could be wrong, but I think adoree, was the player to go for, curious to see how he does with tenn.

You have to have a trade partner, of which we seem to never have lately.

I wouldn't have minded a trade either.

I have to ask , why is his name taco ???? Is that a given name or nick name and why?
I think it will get old hearing it after awhile unless he does real good.

thats because the dallas draft guru's try to get something for nothing, and other teams wont go for it.
If you want to move up and grab the stud you want, you have to be willing to trade value picks for it.
If you do that though you need to pick the right guy, one with no issues, injuries, and will be a impact player.

That is why I liked adoree, he can play 3 positions,CB,WR or slot, return specialist, and probably RB, and do all very good.
He could replace dunbar, lucky, mo and be the return guy we need so bad and havent had.

A guy like him can win 4 games a year easily.

More than happy to watch this player grown in the NFL. He has a base that will get stronger, under conditioning by the Cowboys.

He's got a good frame for a 4-3 DE. I guess they think God Marinelli can squeeze more talent out of him.

I really hate this logic...

Was the reason Ryan Russell was gonna be a stud.... was the reason Tapper is gonna be a stud...

Im beginning to realize that Marinelli is no Dline whisper as many think he is..

Bosa ran a 4.86

Good point. And I was pushing for Bosa last year because of what I saw on film. Taco's skills seem a little less refined that Bosa's, but he's also played less.
