Another wild college football day!

Down go the Sooners to K State
Down go a WAY overrated Notre Dame team to revived Michigan team

Ohio State and LSU look like true title contenders
Clemson and Bama hold court, rounding out the top 4

5 Others still undefeated:
Penn State (a final 4 contender)
Baylor
Minnesota
SMU
App State

Some Top one loss teams—better, probably, than the non contending undefeateds
Florida
Georgia
Oklahoma
Oregon

Another weekend of more blowouts than close games. I guess the upsets helped.

He was/is all hype. He has yet to win anything. I don't understand the love for Riley. Scoring a lot of points is easy in the Big XII.

The hype is legit. He is somewhat of an offensive guru particularly working with QBs. Anyone that can turn Jalen Hurts into a passing threat has done one hell of a job. He did the same thing with Kyler Murray who washed out at A&M and Baker Mayfield who was getting nowhere at Texas Tech.

PSU is going to get clobbered as soon as they play somebody.

Smu better settle down or Memphis will run'm outta the stadium.

Smu may not have a defense tonight...but they sure as hell have heart.
They just refuse to go away.

The upper half of the American is pretty decent
3-4 ranked teams and a couple of others knocking at the door.
Memphis, UCF, SMU, Cincy. Houston is a bit down. Temple is ok. Navy is always decent. Tulane has greatly improved.
Etc

Always a great baseball conf, and vastly improved in basketball, but the football is coming around too.
Kind of the bridge league between P5 and the rest.

Ya think?

Rankings come out tonight. My best guess as to how the committee will vote
1. LSU
2. OSU
3. Bama
4. Clemson
5. Penn st
6. Georgia
7. Oregon
8. Oklahoma
9. Utah
10. ??? No idea..maybe Baylor or a 2 loss Florida or Auburn

Wouldn't be shocked if Penn st sneaks into the top 4.

As kev mentioned above, the first “official” rankings are out tonight

For now
In the latest AP and Coaches polls, here are the number of conference representations in the top 25

Big Ten— 6
SEC— 5
American— 4
Big 12– 3
ACC— 2
Mountain West— 2
Pac 12 — 2
Indy— 1

Clemson at #5 is probably right but I expect to see them use this as motivation.

Yeah, their D is still amazing but the offense has been a bit out of synch.
I think in the end they will be a top 4 team

LSU or Bama will drop to 5 or lower after this week--depending on the score-- though that 1 loss team could climb back in the top 4 by season's end.
