Utah is a far better football team.If they both win, then OU has the better resume and it’s not even close.

Clemson's schedule is too soft to suggest they are even good much less great.Clemson's all-around team looks so strong.
Really great job by Sweeny and his staff to round them into shape. They look nothing like they did earlier this year....kind of like last year.
The QB is back to being insanely good too.
Hard to measure given the easy schedule, but they look an awfully lot like the team that won it all last year
And yes, if UGa beats LSU, they are both in. A 12-1 LSU does not get left out.
The question is....what happens if Ohio State loses? Don't see how a 12-1 Ohio St gets left out.
I'll say it again.Clemson's schedule is too soft to suggest they are even good much less great.
Did they wallop people after the one-point escape versus a 6 win UNC. Sure. But none of those teams were even .500 in conference play.
Clemson has been really good for a long time but there's no proof they are this year.
UGA isn't that good either so likely gets beat by 20 versus LSU but if they do win they deserve to go.
LSU and OSU look to be the most complete teams by far.
All that said at some point the committee will have to start crediting the Pac 12 and Big 12 with playing 10 P5 games.
All you have is the eye test. OU has the better resume. Better resume trumps ridiculously subjective eye test every time. They don't even have a single victory right now over a currently ranked team. Pretty good to pass the eye test when you play lousy teams.Utah is a far better football team.
LOL!! This from the guy in love with Utah!!Clemson's schedule is too soft to suggest they are even good much less great.

Probably a balance of the two.All you have is the eye test. OU has the better resume. Better resume trumps ridiculously subjective eye test every time. They don't even have a single victory right now over a currently ranked team. Pretty good to pass the eye test when you play lousy teams.
If Baylor beats OU, theres even a chance they leap the Pac 12 champ....certainly if it Oregon, but maybe even Utah. Here is my final 4
1. LSU - UGA has no WRs. LSU should easilly win this game
2. OSU
3. Clemson
4. OU _I think a win over Baylor will vault them over a weak pac 10 conference champ.
OSU-Clemson is going to be an amazing game pitting 2 Georgia QBs who grew up high school rivals and battled for the #1 overall HS prospect rating 2 years ago. Fields and Lawrence will battle again in the 2021 NFL draft for the #1 overall pick.

But I agree with you Final 4
And also the QB discussion. I remember it well. Both were considered two of the come out in years. Too bad for UGa that Fields transferred, but hard to blame him.
We have some big Fromm lovers in the Zone.Yeah, UGA screwed up. They should have let him compete for the job. Fields can do so much more than Fromm whose not a bad QB, but he's going to be a career back-up in the NFL.
We have some big Fromm lovers in the Zone.
But I’m with you. I think with a fair competition, Fields would've eventually won the job.
He's just better
And has for Trevor Lawrence....well, I think he might be the best prospect in a decade or more.
Two guys were providing commentary on the College Football Playoff show
Their Final 4 predictions were
OSU, LSU, Clemson, OU
OSU, LSU, Clemson, Utah
One guy thinks Clemson wins it all and that this team over the last two months now is ven better than last years Champs. He also thought Utah was the most complete team currently outside the top 4
The other guy didn't pick a title winner, but picked Oregon to beat Utah and Oklahoma to beat Baylor...wirh OU getti gthe 4th slot.
He also though that if UGa upset LSU, they would both make the Final 4
Take it up with him.Yeah, Utah with one guy (96th ranked draft prospect) in the top 100 NFL prospects is the most "complete" team outside the top 4. Heck, even Utah State has 2 top 100 prospects. They have literally beaten nobody and have no case to be in the playoff.
Take it up with him.
I certainly have no special interest in Utah, or OU for that matter.
I do think listing the number of NFL prospects a team has is not a great way to measure an actual overall team.
But again, I do t care either way.
LOL at the butt hurt fan boys on this site man.LOL!! This from the guy in love with Utah!!
At least Clemson has a win over a team above .500 in conference. What's Utah's biggest victory this year? A win over AZ State with a 4-5 conference record? ROFL!!
more big dumb jethro talkTalent matters. Why do you think we see the same teams competing in the playoff every year. Those Alabama, Clemson, and OSU teams are loaded with NFL talent every year. LSU and UGA are loaded with NFL talent this year. Utah just doesn't have much.
If the goal is to get the 4 best teams, no way Utah should be in that discussion.
It’s easy to look good when the best team you beat is 4-5 conference record Arizona State.LOL at the butt hurt fan boys on this site man.
Good lord....
This is the worst OU team in 4-5 seasons.
They haven't played well in over a month.
They lost to a middling KSU team(5-4 in conf) then barely escaped with wins the next 3 weeks winning those 3 games by a grand total of 8 points.
Name recognition is the only reason they have ANY shot at a slot.
I am seriously hopeful they don't get in because they'd just embarrass the Big 12.
Utah on the other hand over that 3 week period outscored their 3 opponents by 90 points. 90!!!
And those 4-5 P12 conf teams are going to Bowl games.
